DarlingYext, 22 Jan 2024If the Exynos 2400 is such a good chipset, why not use it i... moreSimple, they testing the ground. They know people are dumb, and they will ignore facts so if phone has Exynos they will cry or do death threats. So sticking to Snapdragon it's good for sales for Ultra. The only downgrade for Exynos was manufacturing process. If they will keep it good with Samsung 4nm or 3nm next year will be also Exynos on Ultra with far superior GPU than snapdragon.

Again cry babies don't know anything. Exynos never was a much worse chipset comparing to Snapdragon. It was always in 5-10% margin in performance.

Efficiency and battery life is where it will all unravel.

¿Exynos? No X75 modem - no buy. Performance isn't everything.

MRSTEK, 22 Jan 2024Snapdragon's slight lead in GB6? No what I see is 10-c... moreNot all cores are made the same.. If I am not mistaken, the Snapdragon runs its 8 cores at visibly higher frequencies than Exynos's 10 cores. There are 2 strategies here: you either have more cores with lower frequency or less cores with higher frequency. You do both and end-up with a battery-eating frying pan.

Samsung execs: how do we make the gap smaller?
a poor guy who's a corporate slave in korea: let's make the 8G3 run like crap too
exec: FABULOUS! you get a 2 won salary increase!

the e2400 is scoring almost the same as the 8 Gen 2, and the S24U is scoring 250k points less than other phones using the 8 gen 3. What a joke of a series this year for those that care about performance.

As a note20 ultra Owner Im very dissapointed with Exynos Performance and battery life.

Samsung doesn't sell Exynos in their own country. No need to say more than that.

[deleted post]What did I say that was trolling behaviour? I would simply like to know about the battery life and power efficiency that comes out of this chip. If you'd even stop to check my comments, you would know that I have actually been somewhat optimistic about Samsung's Exynos 2400. I just want to know if Samsung's back in the chip-making business or if they're still terrible.

Happy to see the small vanilla model get great results. Once we get a heat test and throttling test done in the vanilla model, it will decide the fate of Exynos.

Is it more efficient? How does the GPU compare with Qualcomm's Adreno offering?

I was thinking of upgrading to S24+, but it is too expensive and uses Exynos chip where I live (No way am I touching another Exynos phone after S22).
Lets not forget that not only are Exynos chips worse for performance, support and battery life, but also it has been proven that their ISP is far inferior. Also they often have issues with modem and sensors.
S22 with Exynos was taking worse photos than Iphone 6 under many conditions. And that was tested with multiple phones.

While I still prefer SD, it's great to see Exynos performing well. If it can match SD in efficiency, that will bode well for the Pixel Tensor chip as well! May bring me to eventually switch back at some point.

This video showed that SD has better performance and better life, but there is also another factor to consider. Graphical bugs and other issues in games with Exynos. For instance textures glitches in Fortnite, 120FPS mode not available in CoD, etc. It's just that SD will have better and more polished experience from developers. And sure, you can hope for firmware and game updates to improve things for Exynos, but sometimes it just turns to wishful thinking and doesn't materialize.

Oohh we seen such Exynos news nearly every year, lets hope it's true because of the competition, but lets see in real life first.
Im happy to get the Ultra without the Exynos.
Last time i had the Exynos was the S21 ultra which i quickly sold and imported the SD version instead and did that since.

The Amd gpu/partnership, seems to be really positive on the latest Exynos, but Snapdragon will have the better software and optimization support from the devs, especially in games.
