        Duh it's good but pricey.
Samsung still has a little edge in certain things. But it's nothing like it used to be.
And they just follow the apple way now. Recycle same package but raise the price.
That's not just samsung though. This is just the world now with almost every company. Run by corporate greed.

I have used several phones in the past several years, and most recently decided to dive into the Samsung world - and got myself an S23 Ultra, and my wife s23+.

Looking at the specs of the S24 Ultra, it is a true S23.1 Ultra - there is nothing S24 about it other than "Hey, there are these Samsung online servers that will process your AI requests" ... and then the fine print says "AI will be free until 2025" - so technically until they collect enough data to analyze and start charging for something people gave them for free (yeah, on the phone they paid $1300-1400)... Another fine print that is not there is that like every server ran query service, this AI will be subject to slowdowns, outages, maintenance, etc. so what you are getting free will be like I said more of a pilot alpha testing period...

One question remains unanswered: is "AI" that much requested, and required on phone devices? Who cares about crooked sunglasses on the photo if you are with your friends, family, pets, etc.??? Nothing in this world is perfect, so introducing AI to make photos perfect makes no sense... losing perspective on what is real and what is fake, will cost dearly whoever gets hooked on that crap...

14% of voters think there are better phones at market. Please indicate in the comments which phone models are better than S24U. Im curious.

The s series wont save this brand in term of profit margin. the xiaomi 13 series ( pro,13,13t,13tpro,ultra ) also sink like samsung flagship. they sold not even 20mil . when come to android flagship always hard to sell . Even increase the price alone wont help this brand to profitable more money.

Think about it, the SoC in general would cost $50 to $80. The Snapdragon 8gen2 itself costed about $160 according to analysts. Add on distribution, marketing, etc how much profit do you think you can get from selling a $200 or $300 phone?

Thats why Samsung needs the flagship models. The profits from these high end models are used for R&D and to subsidize the lower margin but higher volume of the lower end models.

S22U or iPhone 13 Pro? I'm worried the S22U's curved screen is a dealbreaker. Besides that, it looks perfect for a upgrade. However, the iPhone 13 Pro has the saving grace of a flat display really.

I don't care about software or bubble color.

total android sales las year was 900 millions and iphone was 200m shipment.

With the vanilla and Plus model getting the Exynos SoC for ROW, I can see why some people would better off getting last year's phone instead. The only saving grace for the new Plus model is the long-awaited RAM and screen resolution bump.

People jumped on the "+" model because it got a realistic display resolution - which the vanilla model didn't.
I said it all along: full hd is not good enough for a premium smartphone.

Well, at least there's no anons to complain about the lack of QHD+ on S24+.

The base S24 has the same RAM (8GB), the same storage (128GB), a lower resolution display (1080p vs 1440p), no headphone jack and no SD card. The S10 also shipped with a charger and earbuds in the box - something the S24 lacks. Smartphone companies have run out of ideas, so they are terminating support for things customers actually want (SD cards and headphone jacks) to force them to buy things they don't want (higher storage for an exorbitant amount and earbuds).
