People are dumb. When you have titanium frame most forces will go to the glass, aluminium will absorb some forces.
That is why s23ultra goes better in phonebuff test than s24ultra, and s23u even have edge display.
Harder the metal glass will break more.
Its better to have some straches on frame than go to replace screen.

Whats the point of poll like that when the metal is only on the sides.

I want a phone with metal back no glass... It can even have a wooden circle on the back to allow for QI2 wireless charging.
With that i could get rid of cases.

Can someone explain how holding a phone with an aluminum, steel or titanium frame is different?

I don't remember the essential phone having cloud gimmick. I think it was Nextbit Robin.

Plastic is still good enough for most intents and purposes. I'm looking at the screen. I'm not going to lick the titanium frame to get nutrition or something. This whole premium material bullshit is just nonsense spread by smartphone companies to make people pay more.

Come on its always the same, the most expensive option gets the most votes, but obviously the majority of those votes are not actually going to buy a phone with a titanium frame.

Let's face it folks. People want titanium because we're a little bit tired of the same thing year after year. Even a super minor thing can be marketed as "revolutionary".

Got to say the stainless steel is holding up perfectly on my iPhone 13 Pro though. No dents/scratches and still looks like new after 2+ years.

"aluminum phones can be quite rigid"

What are you saying? The titanium phones you listed are basically using an Aluminum frame only for the rigidity.

                              >iPhone 15 and 15 Pro

Wrong, 15 uses aluminum. Only Pros use titanium

This is misleading. There's no phones using Titanium frame. It's a poor material for that. So even the "titanium" iphone 15 Pro basically uses aluminum frame. The titanium is basically just an outer "paint" bonded to the aluminum frame. It's just for cosmetic.

The the majority of answer technically is aluminum. Stainless steel is solid, but considering the increasing weight of other components like camera modules and battery, it becomes a liability in usability.

aluminum is still my choice, old phones like the iPhone 6s, 7, Xperia XZ1, Redmi Note 5 Pro still look premium compared to glass or plastic on most phones now.
