This is good thing. Well done OnePlus.
We need to learn how to appreciate someone if they did a good thing. Anyone can do make a mistake. But they gave a solution for this , full refund.

Just do what Samsung does with base models. Don't mention it, make it impossible to non tech person to find that information.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 16 Feb 2024Just buy edge+ 2023, it has 512gb for same priceHonnestly moto seem quite appealing a few months after release with a bit of discount until you see that it's usually updated for 2 years...

Didn't expect Oneplus being nice enough to give refunds for something hardly noticeable in real work usage. Admittedly, they did mislead consumers by marketing UFS 4.0. Meanwhile, Nvidia got away with the GTX 970 3.5 GB and GT 1030 DDR4, and also Huawei P10 with eMMC 5.1.

I would've just kept it. UFS 3.1 is still damn fast.

Looks simple but the comment section tells otherwise. One bought a 12R expecting UFS 4.0, company made an error said nope that's 3.1 but you won't notice any difference and now, offers a chance to return and refund. What more should one expect though?

Break of trust here, and A LOT.
Users will remember that they do like chinese tactics; lying to sell. Just see how Temu operate for example and sell thousands of goods that isn't good and can cause fire hazard or even suffering (They sold defect mask with tuba and some people died of asphyxia, for example). And on top of that ? They surely resell information about people like name, address, tel number and so on, that's verified information since they delivred some package for near nothing. (I didn't even purchased once)

                    Wild.

Feel really sorry for buyers for not knowing how tricky and lying the oneplus and realme companies are these days.
