Yeah, except, the photo will look really crap on a type 1/2.9 sensor when it starts shooting at above base ISO.
"More frames you take, higher chance to get the shot you want"
Which is why most phones automatically pick the best frame or let you choose the best one out of multiple photos in "sports" mode.
"Thanks again for proving chinese brands are always copying."
Thanks again for showing that you don't appreciate the democratisation of features and rather strongly fixate on "who did it first" without looking at how well they are implemented.

In daytime , obviously.
Also, pointless if it shoots single frame.
More frames you take, higher chance to get the shot you want.
Sport cameras main feature is high framerate while keeping AF , these phones do not offer AF for burst, something all phones should.
Thanks again for proving chinese brands are always copying.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2024Wow , is this sport mode to have something like 1/10000s or... moreOr the "sports" mode the original Galaxy S had back in 2010. It doesn't matter though, back then phone cameras were completely dog**** compared to what we have right now in terms of pure image quality and having such a mode makes so much more sense on modern phones with significantly larger sensors.

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2024Sometimes you get less than what you pay forYes, with brands that have established a high status and therefore sell you their brand more than the product itself. Not the case for Xiaomi though.
Apple is the only player in the smartphone sphere with margins indicative of this.

For those who are still arguing, this is a phone, not a DSLR.
A DSLR is made to take photos. They cost a great deal more money and come with huge lens and sensors that can capture more light, depth of field, faster motion and a sharper and more detailed image.
A mobile phone is a toy compared to a DSLR but it's more convenient to carry a phone around to take photos than a DSLR. Still, a mobile phone with state of the art lens and sensor plus computation photography can produce some pleasing images.

Looks similar to last year's model, including the camera hardware. I'll wait for the full review to see if this new successor is a better buy than last year's predecessor.
Also, "Galaxy S24 Ultra-matching" 4K 120fps? Sony has been giving 4K 120fps for years since the 2019 Xperia 1. The 2021 Xperia Pro-I can do 4K 120fps in 16:9 format and the 2020 Xperia 1 Mk4 can do the same on both ultrawide and telephoto camera. So no, it's not worth to be excited about.
