No matter how good a camera Xiaomi delivers, dxomark will push them down. Advice would be to wait for youtube reviews and try to find real ones:)

Disposable phone. It's impossible to get a new original battery. Sorry, but even if it has the best cameras on the market, I still can't justify their anti-consumer policy.

Is product A actually better than another product B, if A at 100% barely competes with B at 10%?

It is without a doubt a an excellent and bright variable aperture range, very useful for controlling depth of field, but it would be good to have accurate information

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2024Huawei pocket 2 has UV sensor.Huawei pocket is rather not top shelf when it comes to camera spec. And even if, no google service is a go for me. And on top of that, applications from my both banks would not run on Huawei, so no. As much as I have enjoyed P10, currently because of the USA ban, I do not consider Huawei phones. :(

"The lens is still technically a dual-aperture 23mm unit, but it's wider at the bright end - switching between f/1.63 and f/4.0 here, which will let up to 136% more light than the f/1.9 - f/4.0 lens of the 13 Ultra."

In No Universe, is f/1.63 136% brighter than f/1.9. Fstops are measured in multiples of the square root of 2 (1.4 approx). And f/1.4 is 100% brighter than f/2.0. The numbers in between are much below the 100% threshold.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2024I would bet to differ as ex-owner of D750. Daylight photos ... moreI have an even older DSLR D600 and image comparaison between a phone with its tiny sensor and the D600 is stagering. The only place the DSLR is not good is in point and shoot night photography but this is explained by the fact that recent phones have image stabilisation. I guess new DSLR with integrated image stabilisation will blow away out of the water any phone.

The D600 image quality is very shocking when compared to a phone : the level of details, the colors, lense sharpness, no oversharpening, also it's like 5x faster to take and process a picture, the Xenon flash is night and day and brighter.

When retouching the pictures there is almost no lost in image quality. When retouching oictures of a phone the quality of the image will drastically be reduced.

I would hope Xiaomi 11 Ultras little screen on the back to come to new phones.

Ability to take selfies or vlogging with main cameras would be huge!

At this point what is taking them so long to put in a dedicated shutter key? It has leather back, a way to add polarizers and ND, variable aperture and multiple usable focal lengths.

A dual stage shutter key combined with assigning the volume keys to change the aperture and cycling through the lenses would make the user not use the touch screen. This would make the overall experience much more tactile. That in turn will attract a lot of purists who value the shooting experience along with the images.

that 14 ultra phone most likely will not come to my country, same story like 13 ultra :v
Even last year i cannot order global mi13 ultra from neighboring SEA countries.

The only available seller for global version ultra 13 are in Hongkong. If from Alibaba or shenzen city, i will get CN version which will have problem with google play service.

Google play service problem in CN version, for example failed payment, failed redeem, google cannot connect with google assistant but MiAi instead, forced Sogou-keyboard to use which i not trust the security, whatsapp cannot show Notifs while phone is locked.

For most consumer, a camera phone will most often produce better photos than a professional camera.

Natural bokeh yes, but it comes at a price and also skills to get focus right, but gaps are narrow now with the use of bigger sensor and larger aperture. Its not quite there yet with premium prime, but easily comparable to mid range zooms.
