BBM to come preinstalled on some Android smartphones

WhatsApp is OK but it's a buggy, battery draining bloatfest that has gained traction purely by being cross platform compatible. BBM not only blows it away in terms of reliability, functionality, ease-of-use, flexibility and security, it takes the blown up WhatsApp pieces, smashes it to smaller smithereens and feeds it to the mangy pigeons in Trafalgar Square.

who will use this OBSOLETE chat software, when we have whatsapp for android which is PERFECT. Fast, with many options. And moreover we have SKYPE for android for voice. Blackberry is a dead OS.

i welcome BBM on android, whatsapp is great but but the thing is sometimes you dont want ppl to have your phone number or that annoying thing that let everyone know when you're online. i'm assuming they'll still use the PIN system for droid and IOS.

Isn't this an end of and era for blackberry?
They could simply have sold their entire service and move on to something else

AnonD-9017, 06 Jun 2013Don't really get the Whatsapp phenomena.. just use viber.
... morePlaybook! What's that? Are you still using that?
It's mere video player & photo frame.
Best of luck if you are still waiting for BB OS 10 on your playbook.

AnonD-11269, 06 Jun 2013but they are little to late. i dont know anyone who is usin... moreBecause Whatsapp was made as a substitution to BBM when those devices couldnt have the great and exclusive BBM service. Im guessing you have never used BBM before, but i have, for years, until i switched to iPhone. Whatsapp is no where as reliable as BBM. Besides, People like to change and/or try new stuff because of curiousity, even tho' the "stuff" they have works perfectly. In this case, people will try it because of its fame back then and popularity. And if it works as it should, people will follow.

As far as BBM they give it to iOS and Android and not for the Playbook?!?! WTF?!?!?
So, let me se if I got this one right, I will be able to use BBM on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc but NOT on my Blackberry Playbook?!?
And there goes your respect for costumers...

Lol, 50 million? That will only mean that Blackberry's largest market IS Indonesia then. There are easily 20-30 million Blackberry users here.
