What is the hype about whatsapp, I dont understand the idea of having whatsapp coz to add someone you need there number... so if you have there number then simply text them
see with BBM you need to give out a pin so means no phone numbers needed. Goodbye whatsapp hello BBM
but in my case, I have facebook messenger so no need for either.
alot off people do make me laugh though coz they have, whatsapp, facebook messenger, that profile messenger app. The list goes on. Why do people need so many messenger app looool sados!!!

When will BBM port to wp8 phones, because I use a LUMIA 520 phone and I've not been disappointed with it and I'm seriously game for bbm. .

But no company will put on android or ios the bbm with the blackberry label....they need to change the logo

I'll give whatsapp props over bbm anyday. However the introduction of BBM enabling cross-platforming is a big step forward for BB.
I knew sooner or later BBM would have to use apps now to complete where the android rules is O/S & platform.
Now I'll soon be able to send message/ping people all the world from by android phone, another plus to how awesome & cool the android is.

i think everyone complaining about bbm vs whatsapp speed have never even used the app ... whatsapp is a carrier pigeon in the day of email when compaired to bbm - sure it allows file sharing but its as buggy as hell ... and please try to remember ... bbm is all thats comming to androing.. just the application ... not the whole blackberry os. which they have since abandoned mind you ... haters gonna hate .. and procrastinators gonna procastinate ...and supn else that rhymes

i think they will use "emails" instead of "#" but i don't know.. because when the Z10 came out they said the whole BBM, email and other stuff that used pin would be based on the email of the user

But i dont know if its just me but.....who even cares about bbm anymore? Whats app is good enough. The onyl reason why android and ios will buy it is to take them out completly once they gain some rights to have bbm.

Whatsapp does not drain battery, Line does.
and i doubt that BBM for Android will be bugless, the most stable, the most battery efficient, etc of all messenger available on Android.

Hmmm...with the coming of the BBM to Android and IOS, I can conveniently say goodbye to my BB 9360. To those of us who use the BB, we'd agree it's hugely a useless expensive phone without a BIS. Aside the BBM, it's pretty much so very boring for me.
In any case, I have creatively positioned myself with the purchase of a budget Android phone, Tecno N7. My BB goes up for sale on May 21 when my current BIS expires.
For those of us who live on this divide of the globe, Nigeria, getting decent Android devices had been a bit of a headache in the recent past owing to the largely expensive nature of brands like Samsung, HTC, etc. Thank God, Tecno came to our rescue with lovely devices like the Q1, D5, B3, N3 and then the flagship N7 which I use at the moment. In a matter of days, the F7 will hit the market which I suppose is gonna be a serious game changer.
I don't know what BlackBerry didn't do right, but I really wished they had it going on for them. I loved their devices especially the Playbook 64GB which I owned for about 6 months before selling it (lovely device anytime & day, but had to go cos I needed the cash). I loved the fact that with my current BIS of N1,500/month, my tablet was good to go without any extra expenses on additional data services.
