Infinix demos color-changing back panels for phones with E Ink technology

Using the Infinix E-Color Shift Technology, the rear panels of phones can have several individually controlled segments that change color at will.

Sort by:

Turning back of a phone into a walpapper should be avesome or even the live one.
For example live aquarium on a back panel could be awesome but will be a powerhungry too i think.

    first of all not everyone here is english or is a native english speaker, at least more than 60% of the people here have english as a second language so your argument of basic language skills fall apart quickly.

    besides the rgb on gaming phones have cut out in a case for them to shine through anyways and i assume clear cases for this phone will exist regardless to show it's features.

                    pretty cool concept when it gets better, i can't wait to see something like this make it mainstream.

                      Finna make a dirtblock out of it. Or Steve's face. Hahah it's cool tho, just wish they'd give more attention to Thier OS and UI it's bad as hell. Like make it snappy, with less gimmicks and focus on optimizing they OS...

                          Secondly, the article does say it has an app on the way to make good use of it. So, I think it will have notification support down the line... maybe clock too.

                                  For just changing color in large pixels is just like RBG lights that have no use for the phone other then battery draining feature.

                                  I dont even think it be nice to have it full as display for reading as there for the cameras take half of the screen space away so what be the point if the other side full edge to edge screen be more comfortable to use for reading and other activities.

                                  This would make sense only if it is a clock or show notifications or give you the function for selfie camera so we dont need to have the slefie camera anymore.

                                  Back in the day when laser was invented people also tough what you do with it as it just point a light. But now we have that technology in everything and we cant basically live without it in electronics. But this back of changing color i cant see this evolve to something we cant live without cause it's just a form of display. As of now it's just there cause they can make it and have no other meaning for it
