Infinix demos color-changing back panels for phones with E Ink technology

Using the Infinix E-Color Shift Technology, the rear panels of phones can have several individually controlled segments that change color at will.

Sort by:

Consumers - we want better cameras, headphone jacks, better SoCs, and better battery life.

Infinix - Ooooohhhh, look, pretty back panel.

It's going to be covered with a case!! This doesn't matter!!

My God, humans are so dumb.

    I'm not interested because I will likely put a case on the phone.

        Really nice idea. But the obvious question is why this would be much easier to make 6o segments than a substantially larger number that could be used as a coarse display. E.g. a digital clock, An indicator for message count, Battery icon... et cetera.

        Could it become say 32x64, it would open many possibilities beyond pure decoration.

          this is cool, but I don't see how it has any practical benefit. even folding phones are practical compared to this total distraction of a feature.

            Infinix is making phones interesting and fun again!
