What's the IOPS of this? A high IOPS count is huge for running an OS in the 2020s without hitching and lagging, due to the bloat of modern OS's. If the IOPs is high enough, I'll stop scoffing at the idea of running a full fledged OS on a Raspberry Pi or similar.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2024I love the fact that because this is primarily a smartphone... moreWhat is even a worse take is to assume commenters in here do not know what an microsd card is and where they can be used. You typed all that without knowing that some people here lived their lives using different storage formats including ancient ones like floppy disks and RS-MMC for Nokia symbian phones.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2024Sd cards , the sure way to loose your data. Not using a decent brand or having a backup storage is also to blame.
The 3-2-1 backup strategy simply states that you should have 3 copies of your data (your production data and 2 backup copies) on two different media (disk and tape) with one copy off-site for disaster recovery.

Removing micro sd slot from phones and releasing a micro sd card? Very strange. But other than that I don't need micro sd anyway.

Bravosixgoingdark, 28 Feb 2024Don't be surprised if they add the SD slot back and ad... moreI think companies should only make phones with 256gb or 128gb for cheaper phones, and let people use a SD card to expand. This would make manufacturing phones cheaper. They won't do that because they want to sell you a cloud subscription.
