Also, Sony copies boxy design of Nokia phone in 2011.
Conclusion: Sony copies Samsung and Nokia. End of story.

Oneplus Open lack of features, like:
-no IPX8 rating
-no desktop mode
-no wireless charging
-no HFR camera
- mediocre camera result (especially at night/low light)
- doesn't have specialized made stylus
- questionable software support
- lack of official store/service center worldwide
Even $1400 price is too high for Oneplus Open, should be priced $500 instead.
Oneplus open is just another random garbage foldable. 🤣

Samsung screen that is made at the factory in China needs to ship to these places. Distance + import fees.
Boe screen also made in China, in less than 2h arrive at Vivo/Oppo/Xiaomi/Huawei/Honor factories.
Costs to produce stuff in Latin America is not cheaper than China. Tons of labor laws.
Daily journey of 8h. More than that , employees must be paid extra.
There is no 14-16h/day like you see at Foxconn.

I was playing with the Mate Xs earlier today, I can answer.
It's literally 2 phones in 1 - Folded, it's thinner and lighter than my S24U with the silicone case, with a screen that isn't worse. Opened up, the center fold is barely noticeable. My friend who has the Z Fold 5 tried the phone also could not help but say "Wow".
That's how backward any of Samsung's foldable devices are compared to the China devices.
The build quality is very, very good. I'm not sure what sort of trickery there was on the demo set, but they had all the google apps working on it too.
As for phones - Samsung makes their phone in Vietnam, India, Brazil, all with cheaper labor costs than China.
iPhone makes their phones in China too.

Should be... moreNo, you don't see it because you don't look 99% of the time at that area. If you look at your content or whatever you do, your eyes just can't see the camera part unblurred. So the under display camera cannot be noticed because of the blur. A punch hole is completely different because even if your eyes are not focused on it, they register the punch hole.
The quality is more than sufficient for video calls. It is not a selfie camera.

However, more important to me is the weight balance which is better than that of all the competition. Better cameras, for instance with periscope lenses won't fit into that thin body. The competition just “outsources” the cameras to a hilariously looking and uncomfortable camera island which is almost as thick as the unfolded body. This is not the solution. It is just “show”.

1) Many do estic components are used to keep prices lower.
2) if components is made in China, there is no import taxes.
Only these 2 facts help to save huge money already.
