On the other hand, next year's foldables will be all-in on Snapdragon.

Don't understand why sd isn't used in the upper A series, most if not all models were proven to be quite solid, like A52s/73, A90 and A23 5G

I guess I've bought my last Samsung S phone then.

It's advertised to have 7 years of both, system and security updates. At no point anyone said 4+3. It's double 7 years, but only for S24 series. I don't know where you're getting this info. And while I can't find anything official on Samsung pages for some dumb reason, all the news sites are saying 7 years for both.

Why is everyone losing their minds about this decision? People purchase Samsung flagships for multiple reasons, but most of them don't care at all about the processor. They want good cameras, reliable software, good support and customer service. That's why Google Pixel phones sells well since they are better known for their camera capabilities rather than their Tensor chipsets that are technically the Exynos from Google and their chipsets are always inferior to Snapdragon.

Aierlan, 02 Mar 2024So you don't believe gsmarenas results if they are bad... more"You should try a Samsung for your next phone to see what it's really like. Who knows? Maybe you'd end up loving it!"

I know this comment wasn't directed towards me, but I'd like to answer.

I've tried out many brands already, not all of them, but a lot of them, like Oppo, Tecno, vivo, Infinix, Huawei, OnePlus, Apple, Nokia, Motorola, Asus, HTC, Xiaomi and yes even Samsung. To me Huawei's and Xiaomi's software are similar, and I similarly don't like them. Oppo and OnePlus are also similar, and to me their OS is very boring, no real issues with them, but they just aren't very interesting, same with iOS. The rest I like, except Samsung.

I switch between my phones very often, and I do own some Samsung phones as well, that I don't really use, but the last time I tried one out was today, just so I can make an accurate reply to you. So the Samsung phones in question that I have are the S8 and the Note 10+ 5G and since I'm from Europe they both have an Exynos chipset, the one I was using today has the Exynos 9825, that's the Note 10+ 5G.

So firstly the things that I like:

                          - Build quality
                          - The display even though it's "just" 60hz.
                          - The 12GB of RAM
                          - The Exynos SoC yes, I think this is a good one.
                          - The S Pen, altough I don't find it important, I think it's fun.
                          - The cameras

Basically after that it seems like I have no issues, well almost, but there is one very important thing I dislike about Samsung phones, and that hasn't always been the case, and that's their software One UI, so to me their 7 years of updates mean nothing, when I hate what they are updating. Just so there is no misunderstanding, no I've never liked One UI, I liked Samsung Experience UI.

As for Samsung in general, given my job I see Samsung phones almost every day, and since most people are buying A series devices here, that's what I see more often. And.. well, I'm sorry but I cannot say this any nicer, I'm disgusted. Their build quality is horrible, atrocious, with ugly gigantic bezels, and weird black sides on top of the actual sides of those phones. Yeah, they aren't flagships and I shouldn't expect flagship level build quality.. but why not, when others can offer it? Others, yeah that's one thing, Samsung themselves used to offer much better build quality on their older A series models, like with the A51 5G (UW) and A71 5G (UW) and their aluminum frame, but even the A52(s), and I'd say A53 were better than the current gen, but even those were already worse than the A51 5G and A71 5G duo. Then there is also them removing the headphone jack, and removing the charger and earphones from the box on even these A series phones, I've heard things like not everyone needs those, at least here people who buy A series phones do need those and most of them don't know they've been removed. Still, the worst offender is the Galaxy Z series, warranty is rubbish, non-existant on them here, you have to sue Samsung and only then they will help you, like LMAO what.

That's about my complete opinion. Thank you if you read it, but I know it ended up being very very long. Cheers, have a nice day!

None of them are getting 7 android versions, just 4.

                            S7 edge + s7 = 46 million units sold.

In 2016 , s7 edge was most sold samsung phone with 25 million units, followed by J3 (about 23 million).
