I heard that the new Samsung 3nm process is more advanced than TSMC's 3nm.
Samsung's 3nm uses GAAFET transistors, while TSMC's 3nm still stuck on finFET.
It remains to be seen if Samsung can improve the yield, if not, they will have to resort to dual sourcing again.

If this were to happen in the US, then I'm done with Samsung! Will keep my S23+ for now, but will search elsewhere. Performance and battery life may be similar but modem performance absolutely is NOT. I already dealt with Exynos modems in Pixels and will never go back to it again. So much standby drain, 5G drain, weaker signals. Even Apple is still using QC modems.
