04 March 2024
It would be the first time optical sensors aren't used.

DarlingYext, 04 Mar 2024It would be about time, ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are ... moreSensor used by samsung is not bigger than optical used by rest.
Only one type of is that bigger one used by few vivo and sharp phones

It seems like no one wants to develop the under display camera further except ZTE... That would be more interesting than an in-display fingerprint.

Finally catching up to Samsung its been a few years but they took their sweet time

        thank you godssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Which worked not so good with screen protectors, was it ult... moreUltrasonic, given that it's the more secure option that isn't just a camera sensor with the help of an LED taking a picture of your finger.

Still looking into buying OnePlus 12R. Might not be as secure but don't care. The cameras are fine though. Bash me if you want but everyone gives it a good rating.

It would be about time, ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are flagship level, while optical ones can be found on really cheap phones. They are bigger, faster, more secure and can unlock even with wet fingers, simply superior.

Instead of using from qualcomm, gnna use domestic to reduce costs while phones keep getting more expensive.

Ultra sonic or optical doesn't matter too much

At this point they need to focus on making the surface area much larger
