Apple M3 8 core is more than 2x slower than Apple M3 16 core?

If only the iPad Pro or iPad Air with Silicon SoC could run macOS as well. Apple could've easily made a direct rival to the Microsoft Surface Pro series, but they didn't want to hurt the MacBook Air sales. It's not like the MacBook Air or the Silicon iPads have any active cooling to begin with, unlike the MacBook Pro.

Macs are better for what it is, their 8gb RAM is equal to 16 gb on windows, display will be brighter, battery life will be way ahead. But in reality for the price you will get i7\i9 + nvidia 6-8gb graphics card + oled/120hz display windows machines which is far ahead!!

they clearly target M1/older users to upgrade this year. that's y they don't bother to advertise this to M2 users. it's definitely faster than M2, may b a little.

Very far ahead of Apple (also btw the ram and storage isnt soldered oftentimes).
Apple must be comparing against a very specific laptop that might be old or overpriced. Because unless you want the OS and battery life, Windows laptops are a much better deal at 1k without a doubt.

Need to see the performance numbers on this M3 chip.
From the looks of it , this seems to be a 5-7% upgrade over the M2 Mac. Comparing (with M1 and) older Intel processors are not helpful , but perhaps Apple is hoping that folks who are still holding on to Intel Macs jump over.

Any comments about current windows laptops with x86 against Apple Silicon are pointless. We should only discuss this comparison once the Snapdragon X Elite laptops are out.
Current Intel chips are still embarrassingly bad. AMD is better, but still not at the efficiency of ARM.

Windows isbpure garbage compared to Mac O.S. windows is slowly getting worse. Now it's only 30% of Microsoft revenues and they will slowly let it go to shit. There is no laptop that has the construction build quality the screen or the speakers of my MacBook pro. There is also no laptop with the amount of support and help you need if anything goes wrong. There is way more to a computer than one or two things. Your probably one of those people who pic their cars they buy buy how cute the color is or how the stereo is.

Manufacturers can't really optimize Windows because there are many modifications of them out there and varying chips from both AMD and Intel, it even gets more complex with discrete GPUs.
Oh and also, Apple straight up tells their retail employees to lie and to make up bull shit like 8=16GB. That makes 0 sense. If 8=16 then 16=8. That also means if we divide these numbers, 4=8 and 8=4. But if 8=16 then doesn't that mean 16=4? Total nonsense

With the newer M series chips you can't do that because of issues with it being Arm and not X86. Now you have to use VMware or parallels type software. Used windows for gaming on my old Mac. But now with gefirce now I have zero need for windows. Lol.

Otherwise is just normal to gimmick. I remembered someone at Apple said 8 GB = 16 GB while my friend Macbook Pro M1 8GB struggle when creating a pivot on Excel. At a thousand people should expect to have at least 12GB is true.
