              And geographically the UK is inside the continent of Europe. Not to mention that the UK would love to impose similar laws unto Apple. So yeah it is actually a good question.

              What about Greenland? Does that count as North America. Or what about Turkey which is in Europe AND Asia Minor. Or how about Russia, which is further located east, geographically it is in Asia but diplomatically it is considered European. How about the Iberian Peninsula, where North Africa meets Spain. Or what about countries that are bang-smack in the middle of Europe, but they have not been granted European Identity/Outside of the Union.

              This is just a mess. I think a simpler means would be that Apple merely just makes this policy global. But they want to assert their control, which is bordering of the psychotic.

As far as I know Apple never did any of that with said function. Meanwhile Google openly states it always uses location data for all the advertisement crap.
