This is a budget flagship SoC 🙄
Don't expect anything better compared to real flagship SoC

    Pointless SoC. Manufacturers might as well just use 8 gen 2

      How much is the gpu performance of adreno 735 compared to adreno 740?? Seems like gpu is inferior to adreno 740....

            Can't wait for Snapdragon 8s+ Gen 4x4 Mark II next year! Qualcomm literally has the worst naming conventions ever and they just keep making them more confusing.

                David 040882, 18 Mar 2024Oh so it sits below the 8 Gen 2? I thought it would sit bet... more7+ gen 3 is per is almost with 8 gen 2. Even the GPU is almost per with Adreno 740. As far as I know 8s gen 3 will have the more efficient Adreno 740(735) version.

                      It has more efficient and slightly powerful CPU than 8gen2. GPU is just slightly lesser powerful and lesser efficient than 8Gen2. AI capabilities are same as 8 gen 3, so obviously better than 8 gen 2. Modem is same. Isp is better on 8 gen 2. Overall, 8 gen 2 and 8s gen 3 are almost equal, with 8s Gen 3 actually just so slightly better partly because it is manufactured on more efficient 4nm node than 8 gen 2, though both being tsmc. I guess Qualcomm is looking to cut down on 8+ gen 1 and 8 gen 2 and wants manufactures rather to implement 7+ gen 3 and 8s gen 3.

                          Not much of a flagship killer if it's using a crippled chipset. Phones like the OnePlus One and Pocophone F1 had the title for offering the same performance as flagships at a lower price.

                            Oh so it sits below the 8 Gen 2? I thought it would sit between the 8 Gen 2 and Gen 3
