Sony Xperia 1 VI dimensions revealed, the phone will be a bit shorter and a bit wider

26 March 2024
The screen dimensions also leaked, which show a lot of horizontal space gained for a bit of vertical space lost.

Only 5 of these will be sold in total

Angry comments defending Sony isnt gonna help the company people

Can't wait to see YUKI's reactions about this. He's so confident that previous leak not gonna happen.

      looks great

6.8'' feels small to me right now, not sure what to think about it...
Rumored camera hw is also nothing compared to competition.
The only hope is hi res raw.

Going wider is an instant no for me.

I'm sure this thing probably won't be called the 1 vi. Also disappointed they dropped the 21:9 aspect ratio however it's good they removed the 4k it's actually less sharp than a QHD panel due to the UI being displayed in 1080p 99% of the time and most apps don't even support 4k, bonus points for not cutting a stupid hole punch. Now whether sony improved their software this time is the main question. I really really hope those rumours about the auto mode and 5yrs are true

Changing 4k 21:9 for QHD 6.5" 19.5:9 to reduce costs.
Even without LTPO and latest oled material, the current screen was more expensive than those used by other.
Midrange to get more " love".

Clients will not accept this downgrade. Sales will be lower than mark 5.

By the way, 5 series has been killed. No 5 vi.

Not a fan. They should listen to their current consumers instead of advice from non-consumers. You would think they learned their lesson after the XZ2 – XZ3 flop.

Not that bad of a choice, most will probably prefer the wider aspect ratio and you don't necessarily need 4K on a 6.5 inch screen, though it does still feel a bit odd that the modern Xperia series is losing two of it's main standout things.
