vivo X Fold3 is the lightest book-style foldable yet, Fold3 Pro adds SD 8 Gen 3 and 5,700mAh battery

26 March 2024
There are two models this time around. Both use the same screens, but the Pro has the better chipset, cameras and battery.

These aren't your typical optical sensors, or the type of ultrasonic that Samsung uses, and as a daily user of vivo's (Outsourced from chinese company Goodix) ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, there is literally nothing faster than it.

"the Pro model also features two 3D ultrasonic fingerprint readers (one under each display), while the vanilla X Fold uses a side-mounted reader."

Why does the vanilla get the superior side-mounted scanner, while the Pro gets two slow under-display scanners? It should be the other way around lol.

These issues start into the 1st quarter and occur periodically thoughout. Z4 hinge issues were occurring within two months of its release. It's just become more excessive with time.

I would never say the Z5 will last 4-5 years. I'm not sure what will happen in two years. I'm saying the Z5 is yet to show consistent issues early on like the Z3 and Z4.

              Samsung more durable?
              - pls go check it out behind their service centres and see how many are there in servicing.
Screen alone amounts to a whopping 80% issues.
Even in Asia, Korea itself, the repairs are all alot more than the Chinese phones combined.

As for why u say there's more Samsung phones over the China ones, simple.
              - Tech-idiots who goes for brand instead of the real deal.
U can also see why there's so many blind iPhone buyers too, same for Samsung.

the fifth generation of the Z series is a significant upgrade in durability when compared to the previous generations, but Motorola still has better durability.

C... moreThe Z Fold5 isn't even a year old yet, it doesn't matter whether it has issues now or not, these phones are around well above $1000, they should last at least 4 years. Same goes for anything but the the first gen Galaxy Fold, or are users of the Z Fold 2/3/4, Z Flip 3,4 just beta testers of Samsung's ultra expensive foldables? People who bought the first gen clearly were, but above second gen it should've been ready, which is still uncertain.

DarlingYext, 26 Mar 2024"..and the durability which still remains the most imp... moreI see you're starting early on the April 1st jokes. Currently, Samsung has the best durability of all foldables in NA. That is not by mistake. If you remove Honor and Huawei from the pic, it is possible Samsung might have more damaged devices from previous gens. than all other foldable sales combined. That's valuable feedback they have learned from. But, if you or anyone has information about the durability of the X, V, N or Mix fold, I'm all ears and I've been all ears for sometime now.

What you say is the worse durability are reports from the Z3 and Z4, which are 2+ and 1+ years old. Show me the durability of other foldables that have been on the market for the same duration. We're already coming upon spring and we've barely seen the expected SP issues on the Z5 that have plagued the Z3 and Z4. Hinge issues on the Z4 like the one that recently went viral are basically nonexistent on the Z5.

The Z5's durability is on a different level thus far.

Coincidence? I think not. Once Samsung stopped taking a Note, the competition caught up and has crushed them ever since.

Some random dude on the Indonesia subreddit discovered that the X Fold 3 Pro is coming to the country through a certification, that means Vivo is going to bring their foldables outside of China soon

This is a very nice foldable indeed. I would love to own one, but I wonder how usable OriginOS is and how it compares with MIUI and ColorOS.

Vivo please put x fold 3 pro on global

Have xfold 2 and it's super just not global missing few things but it's great
Use it for like 2nd phone right now and honor v2 main because is global.
Both they are great but 100% win if vovo will global

Nice price/performance. Specs similar to oppo, but I wonder how its color science compares, also raw resolution and hdr... Might be interesting to see.
