Minu, 06 Apr 2024How is OriginOS like, in comparison to other skins? And is ... moreIt absolutely is, Google Pay/Wallet, Google Chrome, Google Maps, YouTube and obviously the Play Store all work perfectly. As for the Google Assistant, I have no idea, as I'm just glad it wasn't pre-installed, it probably works, but I would never download it intentionally, it's the second thing I disable/delete on all of my phones, right after Google Photos, so I love how neither of those were pre-installed on this phone.

OriginOS is the most unique Android skin out there right now I'd say, some compare it to iOS, but I don't think it looks anything like it, everything is customisable, I love the giant ultrasonic fingerprint scanner which look I change very often to different random chinese charachters, because why not if it's possible. Interactable widgets are also very cool, like the weather widget, you can also put whole albums as small widgets on your home screen, which on a 7 inch screen aren't even that small, and you can swipe through them, which I love.

Oh, I almost forgot swipe to the left on the home screen for the Google Discover, but I'd say it's best to forget about that, there is swipe to the left here as well, you can put widgets there, which is just what I've done. I'd never use Google Discover.

with samsung going to release (not confirm yet) a much more affordable fold 6, i'll hold all and any attempts to look at other foldable or brands (android only, Apple is inferior to me like a piece of junk!)

If it cost $970/$1385 in Mainland China, I wonder how much it'd cost globally. I know different countries have different tax and custom systems, but it'd be intriguing to see if Vivo would finally take the plunge and launch this foldable phone globally.

When they make gorrila glass victus 2+ or better on main screen and when i will be able to put real shatterproof 5D 9H screen protector on every screen of a foldable phone then and only then it will be a great phone.

Plus, my preferred aspect ratio 20:9 isn't as drastically different from 21:9 as 19.5:9 is. I do wish it had a 5× periscope though, cause I get better use out of longer zoom ranges. Still, 3-6× zoom before problems is nothing to scoff at, and I do appreciate the utility regardless.

About having a Chinese brand , would like to answer from my own experience, and our family members as well: having had both almost flagships from lg and Samsung we decided to go with Chinese phones these time around, cause those branded phones were... a one huge problem, in a word. We went with Realme and Xiaomi this time around, and are very happy so far. Not even scent of idiotic issues, that were constantly happening on that flagship lg and Samsung. For except xiaomi does have advertisement.
