31 March 2024
They are the lightest book-style foldable and the first foldable with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, respectively.

This wont be cheap, but also not expensive either... Very good specs from Vivo.

DarlingYext, 31 Mar 2024Is that all? Big deal. You've got a large 8.03 inches ... moreYou would think that, but in reality it is very useful. I use it on my fold 5 and I can't imagine getting a phone without it now. Especially when I go on vacation and connect it to a TV or at home playing Xbox games with a controller on a TV or monitor. That's the thing with foldables, you can have the best hardware but if the software doesn't make use of it, it won't be as attractive. Samsung may have weaker hardware but you have great software to really make use of the form factor. Also the battery for me lasts about 1,5 days and it charges in 40 min, can't complain.

Thats why i said, the battery tech is useless if it doesnt come with warranty for zero case of bloating/overheating battery.

So you're saying the Nexus line, even though it was made by Samsung, was a failure and no one wanted it? I don't understand the hate for Chinese products but oh well you do you buddy. Actual innovation is hated by normies yet the price hikes for marginally changed, not actually improved, phones have rabid fan bases like you. We're truly living in the worst timeline and these big companies won't ever get better cus of 90% of consumers who think with the 1 brain cell they share amongst each other

I voted for the vanilla one.

of course, I don't have the money to get either one 😅😭

but If I were to buy one, I'd get the vanilla model because:

          1. it is lighter in weight (219g vs. 236g on the pro).
          2. the slightly smaller battery isn't a big problem for me (5500mAh on the vanilla vs. 5700mAh on the pro)

my one concern is the software. Both phones should come with 4+5 years of software updates. And even though I never used FuntouchOS myself, I've heard that it's inferior to OriginOS. Hopefully these two phones will come with OriginOS (or else Vivo should improve FuntouchOS).

my other concern is stylus support. Hopefully it'll good.

*Get a Fairphone 5, if you want 5 years of warranty, otherwise that's completely unheardof in the smartphone market.

And another fun fact, the Nexus 6P was made by a Chinese company, Huawei. So would you count that as being from Google/Pixel?

The maximum amount of money i would pay for chinese phone is $500.

Above $500 price, i'd rather spend it for Samsung, Pixel, or Apple, three companies with decades of smartphone expertise.

Also, the fast charging feature on chinese phone is useless, if they dont give 5-7 years warranty for zero case of bloating or overheating battery.

The X Fold3 Pro yes, and it doesn't even have to be available near me. It's simply the best foldable out there right now by a long shot.

why's there no "If I had money I'd have bought it" option lol like I'm not saying these cost too much for what they are but rather they cost too much for my budget

If it's available in the UK and gets good reviews then I'd be tempted. I would wait for fold6 first though to see how that is. Worried about support for Vivo should something go wrong.

As great as they are, I'm still not tempted to get a foldable

In Australia the first deal on a exotic animal u see like this folable you buy it and don't care.
