Ouifuf, 31 Mar 2024I only use the chat and calls tab, that's it. Idk why ... morethose are the only 2 tabs that should exist in any of these apps, no need for stories, status updates or other crap like that, even settings should be a "3pts" on the top right.

I only use the chat and calls tab, that's it. Idk why so many messaging apps are refreshing there designs.

It is neither easy on the eyes, nor is it convenient.
1-) Since I don't check any of the other tabs, it's on the way.
2-) We already could go to the other tabs by swiping to the sides wherever we wanted. There was no need to carry that thing to the bottom.
3-) This new tab bar is about twice, or maybe thrice the size of the previous one. We don't need the tab bar to be this massive.
4-) The previous tab bar used to blend in with the green top bar. This new one just stands there and stares at you.
And most importantly:
5-) The real convenience would be giving the user the option to switch between these two styles. As is, about half the user base is unhappy. None of my friends and family liked the change.
The only person I've seen defend this change is a user named krisbenea here, who keeps putting red crosses on comments that dislike it.

I don't need and don't want updates and communities in the nabar, only chats and calls... When can I finally set it so that I can hide that!!!

Easy was when the navbar was at top. Pushing it to bottom is stupid as it'll lead to accidental taps. Those four tabs aren't important. Calls, Communities, Chat and Update.
