The x100 pro is already coming close with a much weaker sensor for the floating periscope. The 200mp sensor might make a difference for long range zoom but I guess time will tell. I think the x100 ultra though is a little late to the game. They need to try and get it out earlier next year. The new generation of flagships will already start launching in October.

        It will be an overpriced Cam that can make fone calls in Asia (due to lack of bands of EMEA/NA) and will be supported for max 3 years.

            Can't consider vivo in this price range with it's old looking UI even though it's Camara is good.
            Vivo should consider bringing origin os globally.

                    It will have all Bluetooth codecs.
                    SBC, AAC, APTX, APTX Adaptive, APTX HD, APTX Lossless, LDAC, LHDC and LC3.
                    Bluetooth speaker lovers are gonna love this phone.

                          Pretty useless, they could just use main sensor for short range zoom and add 10x optical zoom for long range zoom. To be compared with professional camera is pretty unrealistic but to be one of the best camera phone probably they can achieve it.

                          But personally I will not upgared from my p40 pro as long as there's no significant advancement ..

                            Becuase those "good" type 1 sensors are noisier due to smaller pixel pitch.

                            False - QB sensors combined with mature stacking and/or demosaicing algorithms can resolve a comparable amount of details to a regular Bayer sensor given that the lens is sharp enough. Vivo X100 Pro's 2x crop zoom photos look more detailed than 99% of dedicated "2x" 12MP telephoto cameras on a phone.

                            False - At a higher ISO setting, lower-resolution sensors definitely produce less noisy images than higher-resolution ones.

                            Also false - "Bad HDR" look or low contrast is caused by a poorly done tonemapping. Oversharpening has nothing to do with frame stacking, and I don't even know what you mean by false colours here.

                              Anonymous, 13 Apr 2024Another phone with type 1.0 that cannot beat rx100 mark 1. 😒Ah yes, RX100 Mark 1 with tinted RAW files, laughable lens distortion, awful JPEG processing and the old cluttered Sony UI that makes it hilariously hard for anyone to use in 2024. I take modern phone cameras any day of my life over any type-1 compact cameras out there, and I'm saying this as someone who regularly shoots with Sony's mirrorless for events.

                                Aierlan, 13 Apr 2024It has one telephoto. Probably 85mm but with a 200mp sensorbruh it'll be mid then, Vivo's got some superb magic with their cropping, I'll give em that. But you just can't beat Oppo or Xiaomi's dedicated hardware.

                                        No, no it won't, because professional cameras have interchangable lenses and at the very least a micro four thirds sensor, though atleast APS-C is preferred. Case closed.
