YouTube's crackdown on ad blockers expands to third-party apps

Pretty soon there will be nowhere to watch ad-free YouTube if you don't subscribe to Premium.

YouTube should be cracked down especially Business by Google. Google is only one tracking and controlling our internet specifically in our Age we're losing Rights and Freedom exclusively how our thoughts manipulated by a company.

    They are legally in the right to do this, but please please introduce an option for videos to be markled as "emergency" videos (IE: first aid videos of any kind). I dont have time to watch 30 seconds of ads when somebody is chocking..

People are hooked on it. Youtube is already way draconian with random DMCAs, yet people are still not leaving. Youtube will be here forever.

                At home using Opera and have zero ads in youtube,
                In work using TOR or Google chrome with Ublock origin, adblock plus and regular adblock and have zero issues with ads.

                  I personally don't mind ads on longer videos, but c'mon I'm getting ads before I can watch that old 30-second commercial uploaded to freaking youtube!

                        Imagine that you dev an app, you let the user decide to pay either via subscription, or via ads. Said user doesn't want to subscribe or view the ads. What a wonderful world

                          I have absolutely no problem paying for Youtube Premium... the thing is, we still don't get privacy... Removing ads is not privacy.
                          Every Android phone, everything google is out there to kill our privacy.

                          Sorry to say, the entire internet movement is in hands of few big companies. I don't exist anymore as an opinion.

                          Everytime a government fines them, they extract the money by serving more ads. Now its getting alarmingly high.

                                    The level of cognitive dissonance in the comments is alarming...

                                      It would have been decent if they had one ad every half an hour or so (like Spotify free), but YouTube has become completely ad-infested, like an overgrown weed. Nowadays, you ALMOST get more ads than the content which you are trying to watch. 😞

                                      And how come Google pushes this dramatic excuse that it’s the creators who suffer and don’t get paid, but completely forget to say that Google gets a hefty chunk of those ad revenues? What hypocrisy. 😒
