People are thrilled to be able to buy a Huawei phone with a Kirin chipset because Kirin chipsets are feature rich and are tailor made for and complements Huawei phones. Kirin chipsets have 5G support and the Snapdragon chipsets they were forced to purchase did not.

Talking about China... that's another thing. Their only rival for sales in that price point is Apple, and from previous reports it seems they sell well.(So put your yourself in their shoes, with need of a more complex and more expencive supply chain than others due to sanctions, would you lower your price when you have more marketshare than others?)

what about the 5nm chip or something in the laptops?

[deleted post]you need a powerfull cpu for 4k hdr 60 fps potrait videos for example.
if you edit videos on your phone a faster cpu will render it faster and you can work with higher resolution and more effects without lag.
and a powerfull cpu with more transistors can accomplish the same task as a weaker cpu but with lower power which means more battery life so yeah cpu is pretty important and still has space for improvements .

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2024Pushing what, stuff seen on other? To get a fully self-developed chip to be this close to 2022's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a huge achievement, especially with all of the restrictions that they've had to endure.

This will likely make companies consider making their own chips (heck, Samsung might even put its Exynos chip in the S25 Ultra).

More competition = better value for the customers.

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2024Pushing what, stuff seen on other? over the years, Huawei never failed to introduce amazing new features to their phones and the only thing that Huawei had copy from Apple is that ugly chin design on the p20 pro. Have you ever seen an adjustable camera module? That is the first, that is like what techno had done to the X2 pro but improved. Satellite messaging and calling, Huawei was the very first brand to implement that kind of feature, lastly Apple's very own Apple dynamic island is not a new concept after all as Huawei had done the same back in 2018 and to top it all off the first 5nm chipset and the first chipset with an integrated 5g modem and the first chipset to reach 900k+ antutu benchmark was designed by Huawei and it is named the HiSilicon Kirin 9000, so please find other ways to justify your hate to the brand.
