An excellent alternative to Samsung, OnePlus and others? Or perhaps good but overpriced?

If everyone starts selling phones at rate of TVs, I will start to carry backpacks with telivision-sized tablets. Noticed they are cheaper with just enough features.

They are impractical to use and often cause missed touch responses and a bit of visual distortion on the edges of the display. Having used a phone with a curved screen for almost 5 years, I simply cannot use a curved screen again.

          Need bigger battery.

            It doesn't have an sdcard. The 256gb of UFS 2.2 at this price is unacceptable. At least provide 512gb to 1TB of storage if you exclude the sdcard. This was almost perfect. Had they included expandable storage it would've been perfect.

                It's a shame Motorola doesn't have a headphone jack in the Edge series. The fusion is very compelling to me, however a 3.5 jack is a requirement for any phone I buy.

The GPU is twice as fast in Wildlife Performance, CPU is up 10% for singlecore performance, 40% for multicore performance. Compute performance is much faster too, memory bandwidth is increased, the ISP for the camera is way more capable, too. So if you don't know anything and just want to bash Samsungs foundry (which I can understand, but it should be reasonable), please stay shut.

                      Aside from pricing, I really like them. I wouldn't buy it at those prices, but if there's ever a huge deal, especially for the Ultra, it would be a temping choice.

Plus, at least the 695 is made by TSMC, while the other 2 are made by Samsung.

                            Anonymous, 21 Apr 2024Removing usb port would not increase ingress protection. Neither did Removing the headphone jack increase Bluetooth audio quality, and removing the SD slot never made internal memory faster.

                            And really, having a curved screen or not is just something of preference, not if it is "outdated" or not Specially as curved screens are a lot newer to the market than flat screens.

If there was any sort of delay it should be somewhat due to the animation time which can be adjusted in the settings.

                              And yes Motorola software is far cleaner than HyperOS but comes with less functionality as a price to pay. For phones with better processors they will easily traverse the software with no issues so it doesn't really matter beyond budget phones.

Software has little to no effect on performance within games/apps and people can praise Pixel's software all they want and the Tensor G3 still loses to the 8+Gen 1 from 2 years ago.

                                    Sure, software speeds things up throughout the phones navigation but this has little to no effect on upper mid range to flagship chipsets, considering the fact that many lower end processors easily navigate smoothly.

                                    And also, you mentioned how the Poco X6 Pro has a bad camera system. I can easily name several other phones that are in the same price range with far better cameras than the Motorola counterpart, but you'll just find some way to attack that phone as well. For example, the Realme 12 Pro and Pro+, which give up a bit of performance for better zoom.

I could've mentioned the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ which has IP68, but you would've mentioned something else that was bad about the phone.

                                      Quoting someone else, there's no "bad" phone. Just bad prices. No one can deny that Motorola are selling the Edge 50 series way higher than their actual value. If you believe so strongly that they are worth it, then go ahead and buy it; no one's stopping you.

                                        Okay digital zoom works better on 8K but that's about it.
