What I meant was that TikTok wouldn't be banned if the United States government trusted and approved of the Chinese government. The fact that China's communist is a big reason why the U.S. doesn't trust them. It has nothing to do with the civilians, or even the businesses that reside there - it's all politics.

      Last but not least, china did not ban Google, Google left because they did not want to comply with chinese laws, Theres a big difference.

This companies left because they don't want to comply with china's privacy/protection laws just look at Microsoft & Apple, these are huge companies operating until now in china & fairly competing in their said markets.

        Tiktok is actually complying with US privacy/protection laws for one all their servers are located there, the government even monitors where said data are going to & from & there is no evidence of them getting sent or taken by china. This are all hogwash anti-competitive move since Tiktok is overtaking other social platforms there so they want to ban it.

          The only reasons its getting banned are as followed
          1. Racism
          2. payoffs from other social media platforms (Facebook) because their platforms are losing users
          3. people on TikTok inform the youth about what our corrupt politicians are actually doing, and they don't like that
          4. god or jesus or whatever said so.

              My suggestion wasn't to avoid TikTok but use Google and Meta, my suggestion was to use FOSS wherever possible.
