Looks Good, glad someone is catching on to the fact BT headphones SUCK. fingers crossed it doesn't go with an under-display print reader.. those suck too.

Cpt.Power, 23 Apr 2024Detachable on yes. But your casual Vendor will not sell it ... moreYou're obviously NOTan audiophile nor have any understanding of the products, manufacturing, nor the circuitry, and care from died in the wool top engineers that craft such wizardy (to common passive listeners!

School up; if ya ears can match up star!

I'm hoping this is gonna be a premium phone with a premium SoC, because it's easy to find cheap phones with a headphone jack but hard to find premium phones with a headphone jack. They should also try to undercut the main competitor, the Sony Xperia series. I think the ideal price point for this phone is $600-$900.

Look up literally any iem with a 2-pin 0.78mm connector, or MMCX connector, or any headphone with a 3.5 or 1/4"... Countless in-ear monitors/earphones/headphones exist with swappable cables with those connectors, and you can easily buy said cables on amazon from companies like tripowin for $5-10.

You can also buy balanced and unbalance cables for iems for example. I could buy both 3.5 unbalanced, as well as 2.5/4.4 balanced for my iems.

The only good thing about the wireless is that I can be away from my phone, control my music while away from my phone, and I don't have to worry about pulling the cable out when I'm active.
Also, bluetooth STILL isn't good enough to use the microphone and the speaker at the same time without severely compressing the audio.
TLDR; you're wrong, cables rule, and bluetooth is inferior.

Users won't want to upgrade to a new product just because theirs is slow.

i guess you are rich enough to buy wireless earphones yet cheaping out on wired stuff. your point does not stand with your battery hazard for your ear canal.
no matter how you boast that wireless is better, you would still get latency when you game or video editing. i doubt you did none of these.💁🏻‍♂️

The cable broke after maybe a couple of weeks in normal use. So, that was poor quality control and poor construction and materials used by Sony.
I also have some other wired brands, which didn't broke in > 10 years of use.
So have in mind, that not only user's weight or bad handling is a factor but also the build quality of the earphones, including their cables.
Well-designed, quality earphone cables are meant to last, and last long, I may add.

I also have wired Sennheiser (don't remember the exact name) earbuds that are > 10 y old have cost around the same as the wireless LG tone. They are still rock solid and work as a horse - with phantastic sound quality. And even better: they don't try grab all my phone contacts every time I power them off and send my private information it to some foreign servers.

It will certainly also depend on the fact whether or not Moodrop will have review samples to send to reviewers and whether or not this phone will be available globally.

Wired earphones with unpluggable cables have been here for quite a while. This company (Moondrop) is among those that makes these type of wired earphones.

Here's another one from a different manufacturer.
                                    https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/7hz-salnotes-zero-universal-iem.25980/reviews

First of all, kudos to the company for providing a phone that is aimed at audiophiles.
That being said, I truly hope they have not only covered the DAC but also the ADC and got some decent mic / mic preamplifier inside.
Back in the day, a few of the Nokia Lumia phones were famous for having dual staging mic circuitry, so the phones were heavily resistant agaings ultra-high dB levels, allowing to record pristine audio even at extremely loud concerts.

I really hope this phone will get tested thoroughly here and elsewhere. In my humblle opinion there has been an overall decline in attention to audio quality among most phone makers lately.
