This make Realme look good.. Lol
What a joke, this will not make any impact on low end market.. They need to hit the right spot like Google did with Moto G in the past..

I don't see how HMD is having a future with this business strategy. Especially if they are trying to sell a T606 powered smartphone in 2024. I used Nokia phone with the same processor 4 years ago and it was terrible. I won't even try to imagine how it's performing today.

Mills, 24 Apr 2024WHy is there a "pro" phone if theres nothing spec... moreRegular consumers will see the pro moniker and think there's something "pro" about it without probably not understanding the specs of the phones

They are just clearing there non-moving old raw material....

This looks to me like a direct successor to the Nokia G22. That phone is also powered by Unisoc T606 SoC and made with repairability in mind.

The Downfall of this Company is sealed LMAO

Same old strategy, Nokia is dead in India for Android users, HMD is no exception.

WHy is there a "pro" phone if theres nothing special or professional about it. It's quite literally the same thing.

Well not bad for prices as a budget device.
Not everybody needs a 1000+ eur phones nor 300+ midrangers

Jason, 24 Apr 2024Dito the previous comment about the IPS screen. I really wa... moreIt is what it is OEMs chose OLED

Only options you'll have for IPS smartphone

Is either the iqoo Z8/y100t as a more recent powerful chipset option

Go lower midranger with realme 12x, Vivo y200i

                      Or go D-tier brands/ODM like oukitel,umidigi,Cubot,ulefone

But there is 0.5% chance a new capable LCD smartphone is coming with a recent trend of 1000+ nits LCD panels coming but don't keep your hopes up lol

Lastly you can go back a few years and get a Poco GT or mi 10t

Minu, 24 Apr 2024The name had been already sunk by Microsoft to the rock bot... moreMC did not sink Nokia, what Microsoft did to its own product, Windows Phone!! Even so, the Lumias were excellent phones, I had several at the time.

                          Welcome to 2017 HMD

Boldpixel, 24 Apr 2024And here I was, hoping for a good device with an ips screen... moreBest option you can get is the iqoo Z8/y100t

64GB storage huh? What a disgrace!!!!

Entry level phones have 8Gb ram and 256 storage now

Will companies ever move from old cortex a75 and 12nm node?! Very weak procesor even for basic tasks. Even cortex a76 become boring, with limited power.

Dito the previous comment about the IPS screen. I really want a decent phone with an IPS screen. Why do manufacturers focus on OLED so much. My eyes hate this type of screen! I want a good phone with IPS LCD or Mini LED. There must be a big market out there for this as no one focuses on this!

                                    Oops! All T606s!

It's already obvious these aren't going to sell well in the slightest.

                                      Complete utter garbage

Alright, here's the problem. Whenever these companies focus on repairability, they always sacrifice a part of the device. It's like they think repairability is a substitute for a good device. That is not the case. Repairability is a right to humans. And these companies doing this, using repairability as a crux for a substitute to a good device is a slap in the face to us customers. They just keep doing this and it undermines the entire right to repair movement.

Along with that, this device will not sell well and the top level executives will obviously think "Here you go, we tried repairability but the customers don't want that as the devices aren't selling" ignoring the fact that these devices are just not offering anything good, and will shift focus away from repairability and the cycle continues.
