Anonymous, 22 Jun 2013checking... if my carrier supports LTE, does it means LTE A... moreYou have to check your carrier's LTE band coz if the Samsung S4 LTE with Snapdragon 800 doesn't support the band that your carrier has then it will not work.

Samsung/LG, 22 Jun 2013Year 2013 is for two giant Korean Manufacturers SAMSUNG Mo... moreI believe that Sony is gonna be a big hindrance to Samsung's and LG's success especially to the latter's. HTC is also doing good and Nokia is coming back to the game so you can not really claim it will only be Samsung and LG that will be successful this year. In fact, I have seen more people owning the Xperia Z than the Galaxy S4 here in Manila. S3 is still popular and due to Samsung's tactic of fooling its supporters didn't work that much, Samsung supporters either switched to other companies or are still waiting for next year to get the S5 which includes my sister's boyfriend who still owns an S3 and my sister owns the HTC One and none of my family or relatives own an S4 but one already owns an Xperia Z and some are still big fans of Apple's 4S and 5. I will just wait for Sony's Z Ultra if Honami will not be released the same time as the Z Ultra and I will sell my One X+ to get a new Sony product.

Samsung is working as "CHINESE" company which makes one model and "200" variants in 2 months,if a single model has so many variants,then of course the "resale" market will be disturbed a lot since reselling will count it as s4 only no matter its normal,active or LTE version,and the one who had with latest specs can resale for higher price,means who purchased two months ago will face price drop for reason "outdated" ....samsung is a bad name for resale of phones are they drop phone price a lot and now they are introducing phone variants every month means apple is still no.1 in phone resales ...Practical analysis...

AnonD-8044, 21 Jun 2013Samsung could ship 100 million s4 does not mean they have s... moreTotally agreed Samsung is just fooling people with showing number of shipments
Practically not seen even a single person near me interested in S4
And Samsung producing so many variants of S4 like waterproof, zoom, and now LTE-A with Snapdragon 800 proves the fact S4 is a big flop and samsung is working hard to make it work
And water proof and LTE-A version shows Xperia Z and Xperia ZU are actually proving to be big pain for S4 this time

AnonD-104517, 22 Jun 2013u saying thz for new version which z goin to release only i... moreYou haven't got my point. I didn't say it's going to be released worldwide, i know it's for Korea and people in Korea is upset due to this, now they have to sell their S4 if they want to buy the S4 LTE Snapdragon 800 chipset variant, which performs slightly better than the Octa core one. In India, there's no 4G in a large scale so it's simple they are not gonna release it in India. Even 3G hasn't settled successfully in India, so India has the 3G variant which is fine.

AnonD-8044, 21 Jun 2013Samsung could ship 100 million s4 does not mean they have s... moreThat's cause they're on contract. And besides even if someone isn't, who'd throw their flagship after only a year and upgrade immediately? (Freakin' rich people probably) Brought the Sony ZL and I'd probably upgrade after 4 yrs max.

Ted Bundy, 22 Jun 2013These days, it's trendy for bigger players such as Samsung,... moreu saying thz for new version which z goin to release only in south korea n what with rest of the world where thz phone z not scheduled to release?? the LTE support matters as in approx 90% countries LTE z not supported which include china n india which has approx 40% of worlds population, while mere only 1/20th of world's population enjoy LTE so its only south koreans who has to cry but here everyone is crying as if its for everyone... y didnt they cried when octa core LTE version was released only in south korea with higher 1.8 ghz clock speed??? since on every other countries octa core 3G version is released n in counties supporting LTE quad core S600 version is released...samsung gives better product to south korea coz its the biggest market for samsung n also its home...

These days, it's trendy for bigger players such as Samsung, to outdate their flagship with a better one within four months, on one hand, it's good and on other one, it's bad. Good thing is, people who haven't bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 yet might be looking for something like this and bad thing is, people feels their phone's is now outdated because Samsung just announced the better version of it. Before buying a high end phone, you should wait some months, maybe the same brand would release a better version of their flagship phones just months after the release of their flagship. If Samsung made Galaxy S4 water proof, shock proof, dust proof and added the option to add the camera of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, in their Galaxy S4 then it would have been crossed the sales of 100 million, a new record for Samsung but no, Samsung just loves to fool its consumers since it's Korean, bad and untrustworthy who uses cheap quality plastics to made their phones which all look alike and can't ever beat HTC One or Sony Xperia Z in terms of looks.. Totally BS... My heart felt huge apologies for those whose Samsung Galaxy S4 has been outdated by Samsung in a short span of time.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2013How much the phone is worth in your own opinion ruins the e... moreI get your point and I respect it. But there is the cost of ownership to consider. Wouldn't you feel bad if in just a few months time a higher spec'd model comes out at the same price you bought your unit? Would you not feel that your "older" unit was overpriced? Ownership experience is not just about user experience.

AnonD-125195, 22 Jun 2013The Galaxy S4 was already outdated before it came out, it's... moreWhat a funny statement you've make.
Samsung Galaxy S4
MOS = Android 4.2.2, THE MOST popular MOS on earth with over 74% market stake
CPU = Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 Quad-core 1.9 GHz Krait 300
GPU = Adreno 320 GPU
RAM = 2GB
Cam = 13MP+1.9MP
Wifi = Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot
BT = Bluetoot v4.0 A2DP with aptX codec streaming, EDR, LE
USB = MicroUSB v2.0 with MHL 2.0, USB On-the-go, USB Host
Nokia 928?
MOS = Windows Phone 8, One of the least popular MOS with less than 3% market stake
CPU = Old 2012 Snapdragon S4Pro MSM8960 Dual Core 1.5Ghz CPU
GPU = Old Adreno 225 GPU
RAM = Low 1GB
Cam = Low 8MP+1.3MP
Wifi = Old Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot (no Wi-Fi Direct support)
BT = Old Bluetooth v3.0 A2DP, EDR (with NO aptX support)
USB = Old MicroUSB v2.0 (with NO USB On-the-go, USB Host)
About "928 polycarbonate polycarbonate which is used in bullet proof glass", even Nokia did not said it was a bullet proof certified cellphone, so was big deal between it and plastic?
3 HAAC amplitude microphones, in a cheap cellphone FOR?
Unless Nokka said it can be use in professional studio recording, otherwise it's pretty much just another cellphone gimmick feature that can't even help Nokia to sell more 928. The End!

Grow up fanboys. Samsung will become more richer because of you folks. :) just keep buying their new and faster phone and sell your current S4 at a low price just to buy the new one and you cannot price it higher cuz 2nd hand buyer will absolutely wont but it and instead go for the newer one.

My Note 2 is a year old (that's old!), and it's still well within the performance necessary for the latest JB and all available apps I use. I lose out on full HD and LTE but that's a fair tradeoff for a year old phone. I think I will hold out on buying a new device for another year. Overall a good investment.

AnonD-155379, 22 Jun 2013I would be upset too if I owned an S4. This is why I don't ... moreIf Samsung came up with a higher spec'd phone, that trashes any other phone you can buy whether it's a Samsung or another brand. And if the S4 already outdid the rest, then you're still better off with the lesser Samsung. If A is better than B and B is better than C...Z, then B is just less than A, while C is less than both. Logic doesn't point to not buying Samsung. Unless there's really something better. Then there's reason.
