Xperia 1 VI and 10 VI camera islands' leak suggests new larger modules

26 April 2024
Both are physically larger than the protectors for their predecessor but that may not translate to larger camera sensors.

We might get that megapixel upgrade after all. Although it would've been better if they used the 12MP on the 1 IV instead so technically, it's a bigger sensor with the "same" 12MP of the 1 V. Guess we won't have to wait long for that.

Continuous zoom sounds cool, but 12mp 1/3.5" not.
I've already used S23U with 1/3.5" sensors and want bigger sensors.

Even if it was 12mp sensors, would it come with 10x zoom, 100k iso, eND, 12/11/..mm lens, it would be worth.
Some brands tend to release the same specs hoping no one will find out. Ridiculous it is.

Using an iphone doesn't mean it's the best, stop expecting an American to use a non American product.

                            3rd camera was 60mm.
                            That is 2.5x the wide.

Gsmarena did not force mark5 to use 60mm equiv, just 48.
That is why they claim equal level.
Also, there are distortion and DOP issues. Software cant make it up.

Sony is next to talk about AI 🐂💩 during the event .

Sony gets it. As there is no point to advertise more about what the phone will look like they just show the cameras and it's island that is basically the design these days.

Sadly Sony dont have nothing in the budget to middle class worth to buy in these prices they sell them with.

I would go with Sony for 400 euro if it has specs like the phone i got year ago for 400 euro

A 105mm prime (not the variable-length disaster they had on the 5 III) would be a great start for a telephoto, and then you'll find some detail loss between the main and zoom lenses again.

Alternatively, making the main lens tighter than 24mm would be a great compromise if the newest 5 insists on two shooters.
