Now, about how the UI looks and all that, that's subjective, since everyone has different taste. So maybe vivo's software is nicer-looking or more customizable or I guess 'more fun', but that's not enough to make it better than the software of another company (in this case Samsung) that also offers a pretty great software experience, but also has better support. So Samsung is indefinitely better in this category, especially since I've heard plenty of complaints from people who said that after a certain update arrived on their vivo phone (specifically the X70 series), their camera performance crumbled and couple of other issues also appeared. So I mean Samsung clears here. Vivo I would say that takes the win when it comes to camera performance, though again, these days smartphone cameras have become so good that it's pure preference. But overall, as a whole package, the average customer will find Samsung more reliable, also because Samsung has also won a better reputation among smartphone manufacturers

    If this phone doesn't have a variable aperture then the Vivo X100 Pro would cannibalize the sales imo because that phone has a really good zoom cam, and a similar 1 inch type sensor. A variable aperture is now crucial considering the X100 Pro, Find X7 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra have macro modes on their telephotos so that evens stuff out along with the big UW cams, big telephoto cams and the 1 inch sensors so Xiaomi's variable aperture tech is the only huge thing separating them hardware wise. But that's just me ig.

    Also, would like to see if GSMarena tests the X100 Ultra as it would be interesting to see the battery efficiency of the Dimensity 9300 and the 8 Gen 3 even though the X100 Pro has an outstanding battery performance already.

The only other niche scenarios I can think of are snapchat/instagram photo/live video quality, haven't seen anyone compare that stuff recently but I guess Samsung might be better due to their close work with those app devs in the recent few years. Other than that I can't think of any proper reason the Samsung is superior. 10x videos ig? But that's pretty niche considering at night it's all gonna be pretty bad anyways.

        "a 100mm (4.3x) 200 MP periscope telephoto" can translate in decent 12,5 MP images at a whopping 400mm equivalent focal length. Very nice!
