      Reading the fine print on one of the pictures, it appears that 8a will support only 18W charging. If true, I fear this one would make it pretty much DOA at the rumored price point of $500. While I don't like superfast charging (which affects battery longevity), 18W is just too slow, and Google should have given it 27W charging (same as Pixel 8).

          No one will use the phone for more than 4 or 5 years. It only security update for 8 years. Tensor 3 drains battery in Pixel 8 and the same would with Pixel 8a too. After 3 years maintenance cost of phones such as replacing battery and other damages may increase. I don't know how long will the google be providing damaged parts to this mobile.

                  Tensor G3's performance is already more than two years behind.
                  After 7 years, the 8a is already a nearly 10 year old phone.
                  It is ridiculous that software updates up to seven years in advance are included.

                    Wait seven years of security update and not android update? If so, then what's stopping them from releasing one android update and then only give security updates.

                          This AI $#!¥ is just going out of hand.
                          Just rename the entire phone to "Pixel 8ai" already & why just get away with rounder corners,make the entire smartphone circular with AI hologram slapped on backpanel 6900 times.....that's how Pixel will finally look curvaceous enough & AI centric.
