This isn't a good idea. There's basically no reason to get a pixel 8 now. If you don't care about specs the 8a is now basically the same phone

    More Ai-mazing low CPU speed Tensor, more Ai-mazing cloud based Google Ai-spying, still sad pikachu 128GB and that LTE radio that just craps out.

    Pixel team is understaffed , under-skilled and under-budgeted and it shows. They can't fix the issues that have been plagueing Pixels now for two generations already.

      Google made this decision just so they can tell us to "Upgrade to the Pixel 8 Pro if you don't like thick bezels".

              Dear Google 256 GB should be the minimum storage if you want to keep your phone for 7 years.

                lol and imagine if all competitors also get a software update with the same features, they'd have better hardware and thus have an even more "AI-mazing camera".

                The sad part about the "a" series is the steady hike in price, unless they make a Pixel "aa" series or something, I just feel like Google would've let go of one of their biggest strengths, being the lower midrange-ish segment. The pixel 5a was an underrated and underappreciated masterclass imo at least.

                                    Do people in this comment section not know what "128GB of base storage" means?
                                    It means starting configuration. So there will be higher storage options available as well.

                                      All's well and good, until I saw that 128GB is the ONLY storage option available 💀

                                        I just realized my iPad Pro is like 9 years old ... and it still can do pretty much the same it did when it was released. Not that I personally use it often, I find it still incredibly inconvenient, but my kids love it as a Minecraft / YouTube thingy.
