I don't know A SINGLE PERSON who gives a flying flamingo about "AI" on a phone. Not one.
But these companies keep throwing the pseudo-trendy moniker into everything, thinking it'll move the needle on their sales.
It won't.
But hey... At least it tells me that the phone is likely trash since the company clearly doesn't have nothing better to offer since the marketing needs to be around a BS term.

So to sum up the manipluating bs that google, samsung and apple use:

"we want all the dumb people to believe our awful marketing ploys coming up with new names for features that phones have had for donkeys years (im pretty sure huawei or the likes have a feature that takes the best picture and for years, magic eraser isnt new either), we will straight up lie about battery life and charging capabilities ( all samsung and apple and pixel phones do not charge fast simple as), we're going to over hype our in house chip... Sorry samsungs in house chip, for the 3rd generation now, oh and we are going to plaster ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE everywhere, again something thats what, a decade old in reality in phones, probably something thats from the 70s and 80s in reality (just a guess, most things are from about 40+ years ago at this point) and we'll over sell festures like clear calls which companies like discord or all headphone makers already did better, give us your money!"

Android is now samdroid with Google and samsung in bed with each other, clearly see it with all the exact same marketing crap, literally the same word for word now.

As long the user doesn't do weird stuff, and I know plenty of such people, with the pinnacle of them being my sister that leaves her phone all night on a charger (and telling her how fast the phone is full is waste of time, more people out there like her)

But here is the best part, on a charger, all night and she puts it under her pillow.

              Like why

Her phone is a Motorola Edge 40 Pro and she is using the included charger, oh boy I am happy we both are adults and don't live in the same house anymore...

Safety is present in all aspects related to electronic devices that humans use. But i was wondering what is the motive why Apple Samsung and Google don't increase charging speed and if it's not about being safe then what?

And partly I agree, but partly not.

Why I agree is logical, because choice is good.

Why not is because most people still put their phone on a charger at night even if you explain them a billion times the phone is full in under half hour (like my brother and dad, so I gave them both a 10 watt charger because they don't listen anyhow)

Because in the end, that will hurt their experience, and there is a difference between someone who wants fast charging and is willing to accept the cons, and someone who doesn't care and becomes angry because their battery started degrading, because their phone is sitting for 6~7+ hours on a charger being full at night.

Max price for this phone should be 450€. It is absolutely expensive. Underclocked soc, 90hz screen, slow charging speed, 128gb base storage, etc. That can't justify announced 599€ price tag. Even s23, Nothing phone 2, iphone 14, Xiaomi 13, can be found for that price and they are much better devices.

Use 12W on phones like mi14 and temperature will easily decrease 10-12 celsius.

Why does Google, Apple and Samsung continue to insist on 25-30W charging for years now, when competition already demonstrated that it can be much higher, safe and with good battery health? What's missing here? Why can't they implement 65W at least?
What's the justification? People don't need it? false. People do need it because if you want to charge your phone faster to go out, 20min charge at 100W is different than 20min charge at 25W. Degrades your batt faster? Yes a bit faster but so what? Most people after 2-3 years if they keep the same phone, will put in a new battery. People can have powerbanks and charge it later? Yes but that takes your freedom, instead of enjoying moments, you'll have to carry a powerbank in your pocket and thinking about when it's time to charge...Jeez

                                  Something doesn't add up...

It was the same story last year. When the 'a-variant' launches, the launch price makes it awfully close to the regular numbered version from last year. And while the difference could be negligeable between the two, the regular numbered version still has fewer corner cuttings and has more of a premium feel.

So I would suggest going for the 8, just like how going for the regular 7 was the better choice in my opinion last year. In my country, currently the difference between the 7 and the 7a is only 20-30$. Seeing where the 8 stands right now, I have no doubt a similar occurance will happen, especially with the rumor that the 8a will be pricier.
