Refreshed Sony Xperia Z with Snapdragon 800 coming up?

android oem's recent policies sucks , when you release a flagship it should last at least a year , htc has done a great job , but when they will produce a 5.8" with snapdragon 800 it will be a jerky idea , i know it is a cool phone , but they should have released the butterfly s with a bigger screen instead as their flagship phablet (5.5" max) , xperia z is better than s4 except for screen quality and camera , s4 sucks like hell , keep it this way and i will be switching to WP or IOS ,

Sony please correct your display problem which is goes DIM after several minutes usage altough the auto brightness has been switch off n screen Timeout has been set maximal. N the colour is too pale brother

Anyway, both phones (S4 & Xperia Z) are ugly.

The phone would be close to perfect for this year if it wasn't for the crappy screen.. They had a pretty decent OLED in Vita, there are great LCDs on the market too. It's beyond me why they're breaking their phones with the single most important component.

If I may tell you, Samsung is no longer doing the ratio of 1 flagship in 1 year coz now with their Galaxy S4, they made a couple of phones out of a single model so what are you trying to say that Samsung does it well? The original Galaxy S4 design sucked big time and it is not waterproof so what Sammy did was to make another GS4 but a rugged version like what Sony did with the Xperia Z in the body of S4 Active, what's worse is the S4 Active is a lot better looking than the original GS4 but the camera was downgraded to 8MP instead of the 13MP of the original GS4. Samsung keeps on releasing different models of the S4 aside from the Active, they made the S4 Zoom and they are also planning a GS4 with a Snapdragon 800 variant so they are really not doing it your way, maybe they did it last year with the GS3 and Note 2 but not anymore...

Nate, 24 Jun 2013I hope the display and camera quality will be refreshed too.And no, Sony will not do that. It's a sleek waterproofed device that performs like a medium level device. Bumping up just the processor will not make the screen, sound and battery stamina better. It's most likely to shorten the battery life with the new processor.

As people in here already have mentioned, I hope to see better display, sound and camera in this Xperia Z and I'm more than happy to pay a premium price for it.
Still the best looking Android handset to date.

If sony improves the display of this refreshed version of Z . It would be undoubtedly the best mobile. ASV is great too sony should try it it's obviously better than tft and it can compete with other displays

Did you read the news phunboys? the screen will still remain mediocre tft. And why would sony install better, more expensive displays if they already have success seeling cheap and outdated components for the unreasonably high prices to you funboys?

I'm really not a fan of samsung, but my God, other OEMs, are you even trying? And before someone mentions the snapdragon800 SGS4, it's only for 1 market which makes a tiny percentage of their total sales.
I mean, seriously, from all the HTC butterflies and OneX+s to the updated Xperia Zs, the manufactures just keep dropping the ball and making their customers disappointed. When you dish out a large amount of money for a smartphone, you really want it to be the best possible phone you can have, at least for a year.

that eldar really hates sony he proved it in his previous reviews and sony screen is better than most reviewers will say seriously iphone got one of worser screens currently
