Who and why would anyone buy this huge device?
      5inch is perfect.
The S800 pushing that extra 1half inch screen is vice versa to a S600.
So why isn't any manfactures pushing the A15 Cortex CPU? S800 is a weak CPU!
Gone are the days of A9 Cortex A15 halfbaked days.
Bring on the mighty A15s clocked at 2.0+ Ghz.
Adreno GPU are useless. PvrSgx554 with Quadcore clocked at 500Mhz for superb smooth ultimate gameing ecperience

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2013Super amoled will be evolving better? Really? Then tell the... moreI just gave to someone I know my old Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra, one among the first amoled phones from Samsung (with Pixon etc..). I have bought it in april 2008.

I'm giving my Galaxy S I9000 to my gf this week because her current phone is broken. I have bought it in may 2010 (on release date).

I currently have a S4 and also previously owned S2 and S3 years before.

All those phones are perfectly working, the ones of my friends too.

So please come again with week amoled's lifespan, I would know if it was a common problem like millions of buyers, and not some isolated cases that you are just reading or repeating to have heard about on some forums.

Unlike Sony's battery / charge / red led problems (my Xperia Ray just died on me after 1 year and 3 months only, explain that to me, I have to send it to Sony now, just like 2 of my friends...).

This should have been Sony's saving grace but why the hell did Sony remove the flash from the camera? It is not a 13mp shooter and no flash, that means this device might have a hard time keeping up with the game. Plus Sony didn't even announced the Honami which really keeps me frustrated. Sony and Sammy are starting to suck big time and with that, I might just wait for the EOS from Nokia that will have the pureview technology and Snapdragon 800. Sony, you have let down a lot of your supporters with that sucky idea.

Then tell them to evolve their screen life span..you dont really know whats japanese tech really are, they are the pioneer of this, not those samsung koreans your worshiping..they just copy nd put software issues that you dont really need or use frequently. If they're that good, tell them to make a amoled with ip58 certification..let see what you get. Dony ever compare sony with samsung, sony is well known for durability and life span..not even close from your cheap and vulnerable samsung devices.

6.44" screen is already too big so you need to make the bezel thin as possible. Nope the geniuses at Sony decide we will make it even bigger with a huge bezel.

Another genius came up with oh lets not have flash.

The third Genius came up with lets stick a tiny battery inside so it doesn't even last a day of heavy usage.

The note 3 will smash this in hardware and sales probably 10m vs 1m.

This device is just too big, poor battery and no flash. Sony really must learn from the competitors.

Which genius came up with no flash?

Like I said before, this will have nothing on the Note 3. By logic alone, here's why. The Note 3 will definately have a bigger battery and better battery life, since the Note II is the battery champion, defeated only by the Razr Maxx line. The Note 3 will definately have a more advanced stylus and Wacom integration along with apps maximizing it. The Note 3 will definately have better camera (even better than the S4 camera) of at least 13MP resolution as how the Note II to the SIII and of course it will have a led flash. The Note 3 will definately have more features that will make good use of the big screen and even more features than what the S4, the most feature-packed smartphone, has. The screen of the Note 3 will not be worse since the Super Amoled display will be evolving even further. And of course, the Note 3 will definately not loose ground on the power (CPU-GPU) department, since Samsung is known for bringing one of if not the most powerful handset on every flagship installment. The Note 3 will also not loose on the design department, since there's a possibility of the first use of Samsung's flexible display.

So everyone, from any way you look at it, the Note 3 will be the better device.
And oh yeah, the Note 3 will also be water resistant, at least it will survive some water splashes and accidental water dips, since even the SIII was also like that. So, unless you're taking it for a dive, the Note 3 will definately still have the upper hand.

It does not have a flash for the camera, and even the camera is mere 8MP it could have been 13MP or more(stigmatising Cybershot), the screen is TFT it could have been IPS or AMOLED (stigmatising Bravia), ironically the best of Sony in a smart phone. However I appreciate that the Japanese firm is slowly regaining the crown in the market of technology anew and is likely to launch a successor.
