This is 3 years of "progress" in smartphone world. What changed? Processors are equal to worse than 778g (695, 6 gen 1, 7 gen 1, 7s gen 2 etc) and headphone jack/microSD slots are almost gone!

Darth Caesium, 06 May 2024Sony should've done this: Sony Xperia 10 VI: •Dime... moreAgain with this crap?

          1) LYT700 is 50MP effective, not 48. It replaces imx890.
          2) imx650 is 40MP 1/1.7", not 12mp 1/3.5". Sony crops it.
          3) mark 5 has LYT800 ( aka imx888), useless to ask T808 when T808 is already based on 800.
          4) carbon fiber is poor heat cunductor , if phones with glass back get super hot be ause these SoCs, imagine much weaker heat dissipation. No VC would help.
          5) When you have ToF, you do not need Laser AF. It does exactly same fuction of laser with some extras.

Curious to know why demanding how 5 mark 6 has to be when 5 mark 6 will not exist. Sony has axed 5 series.

            Sony should've done this:

Sony mobile division has been this way since they started the mk series.

They should've just given it a Snadpragon 7... moresad to see companies like htc, sony and asus fall because of their poor business decisions. Even though they have more resources to make amazing phones, they end up selling overpriced and outdated designs/specs cause they think they are apple, but make phones worse than flagship killers from xiaomi and oneplus.

I'm gonna post here what features this device will have this year:

                                        No telephoto
                                        But
                                        Longer software support

                                        Panel upgraded to 90hz
Same battery size in a lighter package (a few grams less)

                                        Video Output through USB-C.

Why I know this? Sony is aiming at the Sharp Aquos sense8 with this. They have fierce competition in Japan right now.
