When costs are calculated and profit margin is settled, they can then change the price to be more acceptable.
They'll probably keep this price as original and mark the phones with €xx discount so stands out more.

No hard feelings, there are enough "1-inch" cameras of other brands in the market. Hopefully Oppo will be able to sell the next X8 Ultra globally, as they already mentioned.

If they want to be more, if they want to be more aggressive on the price compared to others then that is not the case, frankly 50 euros more I would have accepted but there 300 euros more! the phone will be delivered with a gold ingot?

I can't comment on Western markets but the Indian market knows that Chinese flagship phones have great hardware and that their ROMs and software are going to get better! I have put my money where my mouth is and have moved, from my Pixel 6 Pro, (great phone) to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, for the camera... which is excellent plus it's a good phone too if a wee bit highly priced. The Pixel still has the best processing and software but last I looked, (Pixel 8 Pro) Google were / are pushing old optics and sensors and are trying to copy Apple's marketing model! No thank you 🙏🏽 Vivo brought the X100 Pro here and it's a very good phone with a very good camera. I like Vivo's ROM too. The X100 Ultra has an even better camera and would definitely be up there with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Oppo Find X7 Ultra and of course the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, which is still on top camera wise but not by much. And I wouldn't touch Huawei unless I lived in China.
