DarlingYext, 23 May 2024Good that might be on par with TSMC... I mean their 7nm node. What an idiotic comment or expected comment in stiches NOT. Witty no just 0.5.

As you clearly don't understand much about anything you want to drag the debate to your sub standard level.

That is why your near 7000 comments are NOT on the topic because you lack the capacity to comprehend it's just a Q&A.

My answer is that this shows is NOBODY knows what QC will release in October 2024 and for that matter Samsung
Apple must have paid a significant premium to get 90% of the 3nm chips, however are we to believe that TMSC has not increased capacity knowing 2024 would follow 2023!

Finally 3nm did NOT "seal the deal", GB6 figure show Android 8G4 multicore are better than Apples

There were some recent reports that their 3nm node has yields of around 20%... An absolute mess.
A lesson I've learned is whatever phone you get, you make sure you choose something with a TSMC made chip.

No reason to excited for samsung foundry whatever 1, 2, or 3nm. They always proven behind competition especially from TSMC and it wont be changed anytime soon.

hardware evolves fast your next phone has 45 TOPS and 100 for slightly bigger units, x86 is so old

Can we normalize 3nm before we even try to attempt 2nm?

Anonymous, 23 May 2024Surely QC ain't using the Samsung foundry for 8 Gen 4.... moreQC is using tsmc for SD 8 gen 4 but the 'for Galaxy' SD 8 Gen 4 chipsets will be made by Samsung.

Good that might be on par with TSMC...

Anonymous, 23 May 2024At least on pair with tsmc 6nm? You said it!

Samsung can claim 0.1nm but if it performs like tsmc 4nm what's the point?

I'm not anti-samsung. I'm excited about their gate all around chips and that they compete and push. I'm not however for buying at full price a "2nm" chip that performs like 4nm.

Surely QC ain't using the Samsung foundry for 8 Gen 4. How many times do they need to learn the same lesson?

The timeline for 2nm seems far too optimistic. I am thinking Exynos 2700 for 2nm. Exynos 2600 should be based on 3GAP+ (and Exynos 2500 on 3GAP).
