U guys underestimated how eager Chinese people are willing to throw great money just to buy the Color "Red" it is superstitious believes that Red is the color of prosperity and great wealth.

It's great for some things, frustrating for others. I got it at a decent price and it's reliable. Am I supposed to hang my head in shame because it isn't an iPhone or Galaxy gizmo? None of my friends, to the best of my knowledge, use flagship phones. Should they be mocked? It's ridiculous. It's a good thing that the Sony phone is selling better than expected and not because I care even one iota about Sony's already obscene profits but because this might encourage them to sell in other countries and lead to other companies adapting a basic classy style, returning features they took away.

I think Sony lost(few years ago) to apple and Samsung so much that they don't want to try and make it more available.
Now they can destroy both of those companies with phones and how good Sony phones now are.

If "General Manager of Sony Taiwan Tomotaka Tsutsusushio" opened Taiwan Sony site for people outside Taiwan to buy and get it delivered to their individual countries, he would have had 600% increase in pre-order sales.
Red only in Japan, obviously it would be selling better in Red.
I am in South Africa, so I had to order via 3rd party in Hong Kong and it is arriving 30 May (Silver, 512GB), shame on you Sony!

As a Taiwanese, I feel a little ashamed, I regard the saling boost as a masterpiece of net army. If they have browse through gsmarena, they will find it's telephoto lens unusable, especially for portrait.
