X, 02 Jul 2013Not going to happen. Unless Nokia puts the vanilla OS on th... moreyeah right, are you related in any way to that anaLyst? anyway, I only replied to the well known X troll just to pass the 700 mark of comments:) and I can't stand the hypocrisy in many comments, uhhhhh, we want Nokia to switch to lagdroid, we will sure buy one, but if that happens everyone will start screaming - it's too expensive, Nokia what are you thinking?(you know, quality and years of actually research and not s or i-marketing or shameless copypasteing does come at a price)...where were all of you when Nokia was using Symbian, Ovi store had way more apps and games than play store and the only choices regarding OS were lagdroid 2.3 at best and that girly ioS? the same question goes for Noki+MeeGo? you ran to the cheap korean and chinese companies(not that it's a bad thing) and then you actually lived or survived with that immature OS, you waited for it to grow so don't come here complaining you can't adapt to an OS, BS and you all know it, either you like it or not it will improove...

AnonD-4420, 02 Jul 2013Dear Nokia , I am Nokia user since more than 4 years using ... moreIf you read carefully NOT all members are in favor of this.
You need to do more research before post this. Android will never be on Nokias. Is a marketing choice AND financial choice not an user choice. No matter how many posts you make or blogs you open, Nokia will not lisent this.
If Nokia get Android they will TOSS AWAY Nokia Maps in order to put Google Maps that is a FACT.
And if Nokia put Android they will loose any identity they have an be another Google Puppet on the Android Market.
The same was with MeeGO. Was a good idea at first an dropped immediately. Open your eyes and break that bubble.

Dear all,
Why shouldn't we accept that Blackberry has their own operating system and that is the recognition for them.
Why shouldn't we expect more operating systems than androide? Atleast users will have options to taste.
And frankly speaking, NOKIA must noticing changes in dropping their sale. They are just waiting for right time.
I wish nokia all the best and request them to mainten own identity.

Not going to happen. Unless Nokia puts the vanilla OS on their phones, but they they are not different from Samsung and HTC phones. All big players on the Android phone market use their own UI(Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, etc) to improve the standard OS. Nokia can't do that. For software development they need specialized programmers, that are not available so easily, and starting the UI from the bottom-up(the others reuse parts from older versions of the UI) takes a lot of time and effort. Even if Nokia would try that, it would take one year to get a working version, but after one year the hardware is already changed dramatically. So Nokia is doomed!

Nokia Hardware (most solid hardware)
+
Android Operating System (most chosen OS)
+
Nokia/Symbian-like Launcher (most familiar interface!)
That should be the best of all worlds! :)

I am convinced, from now till the end of time no phone manufacturer should produce phones without android OS, in fact all should produce only android phones since that is the maximum benefit. Makes sense! :)

Despite Nokia's wishes to stay out of Android market which was huge mistake, I'm sure that day will come.
Just compare possible income from Nokia Android phones in last few years vs what we have today. :(
I love Nokia phones, was using them for 16 years in back but today they just can't compete with this. Too bad.

It's only wasting your time arguing with the Iron man (Sir Elop).
Nokia is certain to made a great success, once the next wdph 9 OS arrived.
Android wouldn't have much advantage by that time due to its multi fractional platforms.

I agree, Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 is good, but the lack are (from my experience using Lumia 520):
1. It can't attach other files via email. The option gives me image files only
2. If I would like to attach document files, those files should be available on phone memory. Or I download first on sent email folder if I have
3. Can read files directly on microSD. Even I can't read PDF that available in microSD
4. You need PC for managing files
5. The Microsoft Office Lumia can't edit 2003 format
If I compared to Android (not look at the total of apps, performance, lag, security), Android is still better in managing files. You almost don't need PC because Android has file manager, you can attach document files, .zip files, etc by using its built-in email, look what files that you have in your microSD.
If Nokia would like to compete with Android, without making Nokia Android OS I think they should think about file manager, look at what files in microSD, and easy to look at, move at, etc. The other features (notification, app, etc) should be as good as Android or better.
