Manufacturers could release paid updates - like windows on PC - you want the latest version you buy it, don't need it (or think it's not worth your money) stay with what already you have. Additional income for additional effort.

VR, 03 Jul 2013For all of you guys, who don't know, HTC assures to release... moreSo what you are saying is all HTC devices are obsolete after 12 months and if we want upgrades we just simply through away our HTC phones and buy a new one. That strategy has back fired, they losing money and their old loyal customers are not coming back.

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2013http://pocketnow.com/2013/03/06/ios-apps-riskyHahaha, all those leaks (may) happen ONLY if YOU allow them to, which I dont ! Now heres an article by the security giant "Symantec" who found out that popular apps including FB, steals and uploads user info, contacts, etc, even WITHOUT user notice, by exploiting security loopholes.

Ios, 03 Jul 2013Lol i am not a fanboy, i am a consumer, a customer. I want ... moreYou absolutely nailed it bro. There were days I spent hours on customizing my phone, but after a long time, I realized that those were not the essential things. I could have utilized those lost hours in something more useful. So nowadays when I buy any device (doesnt matter android or iOS), I prefer to leave it as it is. Rooting or jailbreaking give newbies a sense of supremacy, but its not long that these newbies gets matured enough to realise that customization is mere waste of time. To me both stock android and stock iOS are great, although I tend to spend more time fiddling with apps and browsing the web and texting and emailing on my idevices more that the android ones. Love you Apple. Cant wait for iOS 7.

Oh i see a lot of apple updates every iphone guys appeared. My friend own a iphone 4. You know it was god damn smooth 2 years ago. Now it can't even take a photo properly, why? Because apple updates old iphones so they start to lag as hell to make you buy their latest iphone. This does not happen with Android. Every android becomes better and better unlike ios.

Rizrai, 02 Jul 2013I pity you apple fan boys, iPhone will get ios7 update with... moreLol i am not a fanboy, i am a consumer, a customer. I want the things which best fit me. I've had enough of android, i don't like its interface, i don't want its personalization. I just want everything to be simple, that is why i liked the approach of Ios more. I am not that obsessed in rooting or jailbreaking everything, i want everything in order. And i know i am not the only consumer that think like this. Feutures you say? Gestures? Eyescroll? Duh I don't need them. You can't just simply call people who patronize apple products as fanboys, we are customers, we want things that best suit us. It's just that what i didn't saw on android is what i've seen in Ios.

I bought a HTC desire (the original HTC desire) and guess what, I still have a HTC desire. And I am don't mean that in a good way. I wonder whether any of the HTC desire executives had gone to Business school? I was screwed when HTC didn't upgrade the desire to gingerbread (at least not a non-developer version)..... I guess a leopard never change its spots.....
