sure the ally has higher wattage i guess hooray for that against the steam deck's fixed wattage, but im sure you know which one will last longer.

If I'll buy a handheld PC, I'll probably buy a Lenovo Legion Go, by the way. It would be nice if there would be a version of a Lenovo Legion Go with a 80-Wh battery in the future. I want this product to become very successful because a 80-Wh battery may become a standard for handheld PCs if that's the case. Don't let hatred blind you. Look at the big picture.

BrianCoriour, 02 Jun 2024My phone is oled and ive never seen it burn in. Also i did ... moreYou have 0 knowledge and you're talking out of your ass.
LCDs do not get burn in. They get image retention, which isn't permanent and goes away on its own. OLED is 100% going to happen and is 100% permanent. When? That depends on how many tactics are used by companies to mitigate it. But your phone will 100% eventually get burn in.

Darth Caesium, 02 Jun 2024Always the anonymous commenters who are making absolute sta... moreThe answer to both is yes. Do you live on a different planet?
OLED tvs have to employ a dozen different tactics to minimize burn in from just channel logos, and burn in still happens. Yet you think playing games for hours with the same UI elements is somehow magically not going to burn in? You're delusional.

Darth Caesium, 02 Jun 2024At $800, still with no OLED screen, this is DOA.
Also, ... moreOLEDs on gaming devices are dumb as hell.
Because of static elements you are 100% going to get burn in sooner rather than later.

Take a look at GN latest video on Asus, FTC already got their eye on them for poor warranty services. Stop being a blind fanboy, it can be a beast of a product if the support for it is one of the worst(if not the worst) in the industry.
They had a BIOS problem with PC motherboards and they fing released a beta fix that would void your warranty, until the backlash hit them hard and they retreated their statement. They still cook CPUs with their out-of-the-box settings even after Intel released a guide for them how CPUs should be used. If you wanna deal with such a shitty company, go for it.

Until very recently I was partially looking forward to this since the Ally is the ONLY handheld PC that's sold through official channels in my joke of a country ("biggest" joke which taxes the heck out of electronics, so go figure). If I ship/carry in a Steam deck or a Legion go from anywhere else I will be SoL if the device croaks and I need manufacturer support. And the older Asus Ally is dogwater as far as I am concerned, due to the SD card BBQ slot, poor battery, etc.
That said, this device is a hard pass. Not going to risk Asus' POS warranty services...even though I have a few RoG mobos, I haven't had issues with them so far so I don't have first hand experience with their system. And I am not one bit happy with the way they have taken no onus for the SD card fiasco in the older Ally.
So I am not going to tempt fate, I will wait or just get another device from outside the country since shipping it in/out might work out better than trying Asus's RMA services when alls said and done.

Has Oled screen and as good battery endurance or better (it does not run Windows 11 but efficient Steam OS), most importantly it cost cheaper.

Since Asus is under investigation for illegally rejecting warranty repairs and scamming customers out of extra fees I'm not too excited about Asus products at the moment.
