The device seemed decent until I saw the price. Yeah, I get that it's supposed to be able to play PC games (which is what separates it from "cheaper" handhelds) but all the testing reveals it actually can't even play most games at 1080p 60 fps. This is at medium quality, not high or very high or ultra. A lot of games it goes even below 30 fps. This is at its highest performance turbo mode.

You can literally buy a gaming laptop with an i5-13500H CPU and a dedicated RTX 4060 GPU, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 1 TB PCIe x4 NVMe storage, a Full HD 144 Hz LCD screen and more for the same price.

What is the use of having a 120Hz screen if it can't even reach 60 fps? Don't tell me you need it to watch 120 fps videos because literally all videos except gameplay are not even 30 fps.

I personally wouldn't mind a lower resolution screen (as long as it's above HD) and 60 fps if it had LTPO OLED and HDR with 10-bit colour, and better battery life.

I agree. there was a time that AMD is at the bottom of the pyramid. but they literally smash it with the latest ryzens. 8000 series is impressive with their integrated radeon 780M. and NPUs. and the 5000 series? Huge bang for the buck if you aren't locked on the AM5 Slot.
I'm not an AMD Fangirl. I do have an AMD based workstation. and it's a beast.

The Ayaneo Kun has a 75-Wh battery, but its weight is 950 g. It has an 8.4" screen. There is no another handheld PC with comparable weight and battery capacity. If you want a handheld PC that's lighter than 750 g and has 75-Wh+ battery capacity, the ROG Ally X is the only one.

As a product, right now there is nothing like the ROG Ally X. It's the only handheld PC with an 80-Wh battery.

Asus should not be considered as a good option anymore, look how they treated Gamers Nexus with the ROG Ally, or how they treat their customers lately, i mean look at the problems they have on intel.
