6.9 is not a phablet. It's a small tablet. There are still 7" tablets out there.
It's incredibly annoying to keep truly premium features for only these sizes. I guess I might go for the pro this year. Samsung is even more annoying, as they only add the stylus option for their ultra line.

Plastic is great to me, more sturdy, less Heavey, less fragile, cooler designs and colors.
And don't say about recyclabe, it's fully a joke.
Metal and glass back 'premium', that should have never existed. It's tech to me, not gadget for women's bag.

No matter how much they claim to include Aluminium or Titanium in their phones, I was simply off-put by how "plastic-ky" it felt after handling actual demo units of the 15 Pro Max, 15 Pro, 15, 14 and 13 (not dummies, but actual phones taken out of the box for demonstration purposes). The Nokia X30 I've managed to check on the other hand (disregarding the launch price, that's not the topic here), has that premium feel with a plastic back that feels like frosted glass, so is my Nokia 8 from 2017 with a polished aluminium body, or any Samsung flagship launched between 2015 and 2016 with the glass-metal sandwich form factor. The iPhones are simply heavy for no justifiable reason. Neither the Li-Ion batteries with teeny capacities, nor the glass that shatters from a three-feet height without any form of protection.
Also, the current lineup of MacBook Pros feel flimsier than the Intel MacBooks I've handled during my visits to computer shops. The 16 inch Pro (2019) is such a delight to hold and use (disregarding the learning curve for non-Apple users).
That shows they're trying to compromise the premium feel and bill of materials, just to scrape off more profit from the average consumer who is convinced to believe that Apple is the best brand on the planet from their impressive marketing. While there may be positives about Apple, there are certain negatives too that convince me against purchasing from that brand or at least showing some support for them.

Gooogol-plex, 06 Jun 2024S24u is 19.5:9. Iphones are 19.5:9 too.The s23 ultra was 78.1mm wide and 163mm tall, the s24 ultra 79mm wide and 162mm tall. The 16 pro max is gonna be 163mm and 77.6mm wide same with the 14 pro max in width and shorter in height.
