Makes the iPhone recognisable from the front I suppose. It was then made into a big deal feature cos they had a slow year for innovations.

                  The whole packet, Android boys always get obsessed with small meaningless stuff and details and they just don't understand why it's the iPhone people want year after year and not Android flagship. People buy the whole experience and it's been proven year after year that iPhone experience is what most want when they invest more money for the phone.

                    I can't be the only one who thinks waterdrops and continuous notches (like iPhone 12) better than hole punches and floating island.

                        Also Android fanboy always think they’re “smart”. At the end it just a phone. Both android and iOS just do same things in different languages. So it wasting time to deal with fanboys

                        If the border gonna get even thinner surely need something that can absorb the angular impact. For that absolute thin border I rather put casing on it no matter what.

                          Back in the days we called these heavy phones "half a brick" and made jokes about that they could also be used as self defense tools. Like Ericsson GH198 (330gr), Ericsson GA318 (249gr). Then, there was so 1-1,5 decade when mobile phones were really mobile.

                          Now, the phones are around 200gr and plus. And they're growing. And instead of calling them "half-a-brick", now they are the "flagships"...
                          I think, we have still a couple of years and the Motorola DynaTAC's are coming back, at least in form of outer dimensions and weight.

Software features? No, when it lacks basic features such as uncomplicated filesystem access or universal back button. It's arguably the software reliability. And they push hard for market segmentation, so that one goes for the highest model of the lineup.
