I don't understand which part of Android software or ecosystem which is "frustrating" or "harder to use", especially One UI. Me, my family, and most of my friends already use Android for more than 10 years and got no problem with the software. Connectivity thru ecosystem are just seamless.
Google account is NOT required except if you want to use Google apps.

If you want to compare, compare it with S22 or S21, which is still has a great performance until now. And nope, at least in my country, A54's price is comparable to iPhone 11. iPhone 12 and 13 series is still far more expensive than an A54.

I too am.not a fan of apple's price gouging business model. I have criticised and continue to criticise their absurd prices for memory upgrades.
However I much prefer their approach to how consumer data is collected and handled!
I have mentioned time and again here ,how google.keeps locking down user accounts with just because of their messed up login algorithm which is now possible entirely handled by AI.
Not a single comment about that from you or thw other android fan boys .
Dude here's the thing, the cheap device doesn't mean much if using it is frustrating, especially when crucial things like your Google account and Gmail inbox are at the mercy of a badly written AI that is trigger happy!!
Some people opt to pay a bit more for a better thought out and designed ecosystem and software by going the iOS route!!
If you don't care about things like that then fine, good on you. But please don't try to pretend that there aren't any problems or frustrations to be put up with when using an android, even though it's a cheaper, more customizable and 'good enough'option.
Even mid range devices like galaxy A54 and the likes struggle.to keep up with iPhone models from 2 to 3 years ago lol!

If that's worth the low cost, and all the ways in which your xiaomi is 'better' than an iOS device to you then stop coping, I'm happy for you.
But don't come telling me or others who prefer ios (because that's the lesser evil and it really is simple, it's NOT getting adapted to iOS when you find it easier to use out of the box after 6+ years of dailying androids!!) what I should and shouldn't buy.

iOS looks "simpler" and "easier to use" because they're already getting used to it. If you only ever used Xiaomi as your phone, you might feel that MIUI looks "simpler" and "easier to use" than another skin. Give an Android user an iPhone, it should took time for them to understand it, and vice versa.
Unlike what you might think, I don't hate iPhone, because I owned an iPhone 12, which I used as my backup phone. I just hate Apple's bussiness practice, not their product. But I also won't praise their product because it's far from something that I would call "special". I'm just saying that in most cases, you don't need to spend over $800 for a phone with great build quality, fast processor, fast storage, great camera, great ecosystem, long updates, easy to use software, etc, because Android already backed you up.

I don't have a big problem with the android UI. Infact I think the file manager is great (iOS file manager sux but that comes with the sandbox style they use).
I'm more worried about Google's data mining and them messing up their login algorithm stuff due to AI infusion, so that every login attempt even by the account owner is treated as suspicious. And they can do this for some time and eventually lock the user out of his/her own data and that data is theirs forever.
It's stuff like this that distances me away from Google Android.
Anway, let's see what new changes they bring 👍🏻. Hopefully they iron out the login bugs 🤞🏻.

You mock my preference for iOS while I shall k... moreI also find iOS to be more convenient (from a UI perspective) but I am not a mindless consumer, I can hold onto any other UI for the time being because sovereignty trumps convenience.
I hope Google copies a lot of the things Apple announced for iOS this week because boy oh boy those apple UI designers are brilliant. (probably next year at Google IO)
And as Steve Jobs once said "Good artists copy; Great artists steal".

I repeat, if some people can spend and prefer to spend 800 usd on a phone, then that shouldn't bother you, it shouldn't be your business. Even if people in your 'area' has that idea, it's still none of your business. You do you and stay with your androids.
Galaxy s6 camera had a severe night time over exposing + shutter lag, subject blurr issue when it came out if i remember right. Basically over exposed all night shots so much and the shutter speed was very slow leading to a lot of blurry photos. Also the battery life was pretty subpar and there were no... wait for it.... SD card slot!! The one feature you guys (myslef included , im pro SD slot ) use to call out Apple more than anything else. If it is on the original battery then I shudder to think about the battery life.
Bottom line, you buy what you want and let others buy what they want (unless you have to lay for their purchases in which cases you should definitely have a say on what they can and cannot buy).

iOS....
If someone prefer a device with iOS, iphones are their only option. And if they prefer that and are okay with it , it just shouldn't be your problem.
It baffles me that the android fan boys have this hard a time understanding what PREFERENCE is.
I'm.not degrading your 200usd android or its usefulness.
What I'm saying is some people like iOs, it's simplicity, the designs of iPhones, their robustness ( their build quality have improved a lot since the iPhone 6 bend gate days ) , their excellent cameras and performance.
There are no 200 USD brand new iPhone that's true but even a used iPhone (lower end ) from 3 to 4 years ago would destroy any 200usd brand new android!!
Just because the iPhone model aged, doesn't mean the camera hardware degraded!
Apple haven't always had the best camera but they've always had very good cameras, starting from the iPhone 4.
Fast memory + a light OS + excellent RAM management = better performance than some top end androids nowadays (ask me how I know lol!)

Both with no problems and no hiccups whatsoever despites the age. Just because you and your relatives don't a good experience with Android, doesn't mean everyone else can.
And no, I'm not saying something in a negative way. It's just a truth, and you seems can't just accept it. People in my place are really getting doctrinized that you must get an $800 (or more, or a second hand) iPhone for a phone with good build quality, good camera, and long software updates, and they're getting doctrinized that Android doesn't have that. While that's not true.

Reality..., 11 Jun 2024You seem.to have a difficult time understanding the concept... moreMy 200 USD brand new android device might doesn't gets security updates for 8 to 9 years, but at least majority of apps are supported on that older Android version for 10 years or even more. It also doesn't have ads baked into the OS, doesn't have a cheap virtually proximity sensor, and good build quality. Since we're comparing to an used iPhone that priced the same nowadays, there's no iPhone in this pricing that has an excellent camera, and UFS is literally has a comparable performance compared to older NVMe. Plus, the best part: I still got 1 year guarantee from the brand, and I'm not stuck in one brand.

But when it comes to reliability and longevity, they are usually the end game. Waiting to perfect some tech and then include it in the product to offer a hassle.free user experience isn't a bad thing.
And if sales numbers are any indication, people seem to overwhelmingly prefer that. I don't see how Apple is any different. IPhone pro Max may cost more but they hold their resale value extremely well. I doubt your 300 usd android could do that, regardless if how good it is ( and I'm not doubting your positive experience with it ).
