Anonymous, 10 Jun 2024No devices dropped from support, that's all I need to ... moreThat's because the XS and XS Max are S version phones. But I don't think there is anything great for these phones since they lack some type of technologies that a 6 year-old device doesn't have. Remember the iPhone 6S series? Also, Samsung is going for 7 years of updates for flagships, no matter what it is, a vanilla, a Plus or an Ultra version. Let's see how much the iPhone 13 and 14 will differentiate when the 14 gets one more recent version of OS than the 13(since they are almost the same phones, just different release dates).

Not everyone immediately change their phone because they don't like it. Your question is the one that doesn't makes sense.
> well most of iPhone users owned Android phones first. Then they got money to buy the device they actually want and most choose iPhone, fact!
And have a feeling of regret because there's nothing special than the fruit logo on the back, fact!

Aerni68, 11 Jun 2024Whatever Apple is doing with iOS 18, it feels like topics, ... moreNgl but no one likes Siri on it's current state (except a blind fanboy ofc), and I think an "improved Siri" would be very welcome.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2024So want unofficial android support more likely to malware Do you think running an "official OS" that hasn't been updated since 6 years ago is "safer"? The answer is no lol. And those "unofficial" ROMs are mostly open-source. It would've been banned from XDA since first time if it's contained malware lol.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2024You really can't be taken seriously when you're j... moreNot lying: my mother is law used her budget Android device 7 years for Facebook mainly. Still impressive to pay just a bit above 150 Euros and use it 7 years.
A good friend of mine is still rocking her Samsung Note 8 from 7 years ago.
So what is your point?

Sal, 11 Jun 2024Sorry but after using the 13 pro max for almost 3 years now... morePersonally, I think those that like to judge the intelligence of perfect strangers, based solely on their choice of smartphone are the ones displaying how dumb they are 🤷
And I never seem to get a straight answer whenever I ask this, but what all this extra functionality Android offers? I have swapped between Android and iOS repeatedly over the years, I cannot think of any life altering sacrifices of functionality I experienced either way 🤔

Whatever Apple is doing with iOS 18, it feels like topics, which no one has asked for and needs. SIRI, whatever AI feature around voice & messaging and ChatGPT stuff: Who really needs that stuff? The first step into a decent day-to-day-intelligence would be, when I would be able to connect an iPhone 16 Pro Max to an external 16:9 monitor and have all iOS screens and installed apps available in a useable layout (not that pillar-boxed / letter-boxed crap of current IPhones). It is rediculous how Office Apps, File Apps, PDF Apps and others are currently shown on a connected external monitor. As long as this isn't fulfilled, Apple has nothing to do with whatever kind of intelligence. They are too stupid to even cover the most simple foundation of "productivity" on their iPhones. What a shame!

"It reminds us of Sony's Xperia Album from 2016, but maybe that's just us."
It's not just you. But hey, at least they're copying the good things from other phones... Unlike a certain South Korean company that keeps copying all the bad things from the iPhone...
Next Apple should try to copy the headphone jack and expandable storage from Sony, too.
Maybe that'd make the iPhone remotely useful.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2024You really can't be taken seriously when you're j... moreSorry but after using the 13 pro max for almost 3 years now (I got the z fold 5 on contract last year) I can honestly say that every update the iPhone recieves has maybe 1-2 small useful features, the rest is just useless. The fact that any new feature like moving icons on the screen is praised says a lot about iPhone users. For me it's a phone made for dumb people with a dumb backwards OS that is soooo counterproductive, that's why I went with a foldable but even normal android phones do much more and easier. Whoever says otherwise only used an iPhone, I'm sure of it
